tampons..

Question Posted Wednesday November 30 2005, 10:30 pm

Okay I started my period a few months ago and I'm only using pads. I'm SO scared to try to put in a tampon and I don't even know why! I'm afraid I'll do something wrong and hurt myself. My mom keeps telling me to try one, they are way more sanitary blah blah blah. Can someone PLEASEEE help me? I don't really know what I'm asking, I guess just I need tips for how to put a tampon in for the first time. Thanks! I rate for only GOOD answers!

It may seem scary to try a tampon on. Actually, the first time i put a tampon in, i was pretty calm. Just remember, it can NEVER get stuck inside you. Most of the time, the problem is that you're not pushing it in far enough. And every tampon box comes with easy instructions. but the best way to start is by using the SLIMFIT tampons (the smallest size).

its really not hard hun. when u do it squat down a lil and give a deep breath out to relax the muscles and insert it . imagine launching a rocket into your crotch. lol i know that sounds bad but try it. good luck!

Well, honestly your mom is right...I guess the thought of tampons are kind of gross at first, but believe me it is so worth it. I promise you, you wont hurt yourself...just try it ... use slender or junior and the plastic kind...they are so much easier for the first time...try it...it really will make your period SOOO much easier!

Aww. There's nothing to be afraid of. You slide it in very slowly. One hole is too small for a tampon, the other is your asshole(bottom one) and the last one is where you put the tampon(middle). Lmfao. Plus there are directions on the box. The first time is kinda scary but it doesn't hurt. Just relax.

Okay, now everyone has that sort of thinking when they are first considering tampons! Trust me when I say...there is nothing you can do hurt yourself!! Just sit on the toilet (it works best) and follow the directions!! For my first time I used Playtex slimfits. They are the best kind because they are plastic and are easy to insert. All you do is put your thumb and middle finger on the grooves and slowly push until your fingers meet your body. Then, push the thingamiajigger (whatever it is you'll know what). Its kinda hard to push sometimes. There you have it!!! Taking it out might hurt a little if you don't do it right but keep pulling...once again there is nothing you can do to hurt yourself!
