Nightmares..

Question Posted Saturday November 26 2005, 5:17 pm

Every night for the past week or two, I've been having really bad nightmares. Two of the nights I've had nightmares that I was in a car accident. The other two nights, I've had dreams that I killed someone I love and tried to hide their body, then realized what I did was wrong and felt scared and guilty. I looked everywhere online to find out what these dreams mean and why I keep having them. Can someone tell me what all of this means? I rate 5's for all answers.

Personally, I don't think dreams mean a whole lot. Just your mind wandering. Maybe thinking of things you fear in the daylight.

I do have a website for you though. Hope you have fun with it.

Oh, by the way, Are you by chance taking any medication that is new to you? Sometimes they can make you have weird dreams. :)

I like to think of it this way. Dreams are nothing more than thought pictures or mental images if you will. Some thoughts are unpleasant and so can mental imagery.

When you fall asleep at night your brain does not shut off or stop processing your thoughts. Often we have a lot of fears and sometimes at night the thought pictures going on as you sleep can turn nasty. None of it is real but rather a dipiction of your thoughts and fears as you sleep.

I wouldn't worry there is not much chance of a car accident or killing someone you love in your waking experience. But what is real and what is there at night and during the day is a fear of this deep down. Chuck it and you will not have a problem.

Another tip if you have frequent nightmares you must note is do not sleep on your back. Sleep on your sides. Sleeping on your back as well as front accounts for why a lot of people have bad dreams. Posture and sleeping patterns or the way you sleep can lead to such dreams not to mention what you think about all the time.

Dear Nightmares,
I've had your dreams before for a straight week and i have a dream book that i read and it told me sorta why i had them. First of all try not eatting anything garlic a few hours before you go to sleep. If you had dreams of killing a person you really care for that might mean that you are mad at them for something and your keeping it in instead of telling that person about it. If thats not it then it most likely isn't anything don't stress about it. They should go away any time now. If you have time and really want to know what's going on inside that head of yours then go to your local library and check out some books on dreams and what they mean. They could probably help you out better than I can.

Good Luck and Sweet Dreams,
bubblesamin

Car accidents are supposed to mean that you're confused in life and are experiencing major troubles. If these car accidents include visuals of the drivers, than it means you don't trust them. If you are driving, you don't trust yourself.

Killing someone you love is because you may be having troubles in the relationship, but you hide your feelings.

You really need to try and write down your feelings. Dreams reflect upon your innermost thoughts, even ones that you might not be aware of. Don't eat, drink, watch tv, or listen to music 2 hours before you go to bed. (Unless the music is relaxing like jazz.. Nothing suspensful or anything with lyrics) Keep a glass of water by your bed.

Good luck.

When people have dreams, they normally mean that something is bothering the person. If anyone has died that you know recently, that could be the problem. The killing someone part, could mean that you need to write down your feelings to express them better. Try starting up a jorunal. Whenever my friend got cancer and died, I was so mad I started having nightmares too. But then my friend told me to start journaling about my feelings, &*& it helped me cooperate with them.

^^ I hope this helped!

Well, I'm not QUITE sure but nightmares can mean that you're trying to do too much in your life. They can also imply what your life might be like. You're probably not going to kill someone though. If you're in a car accident in a dream it might mean that there will be a rough spot in your life wiht maybe school/ work or family/friends. Killing someone may mean that you're mad at someone or hurt their feelings and try to pretend that it didnt happen. But then you might feel sad and guilty of what you did.
