Stuffing my face. I have a problem. I cannot seem to stop eating. I at times have control over what I eat, but on the weekends when I have time on my hands, I eat a lot. Today, I said to myself that I would not eat a whole bunch and I did anyway. I am not sure what is causing me to do this, but I could use some tips to stop stuffing my face all of the time. It will start when I am hungry, but then I don't stop after I am satisfied.

believe it or not, you seem to have an eating disorder called compulsive overeating. some good things you can do to control it is don't eat chips or anything of that nature out of the package. serve yourself the reccomended serving size and put it in a bowl or on a plate or something and when you're done, stop eating and walk away. if you need ideas on things to do in your free time to prevent you eating alot, exercise, go shopping, hang out with friends, but don't do anything that involves food. :) ]
I have this problem too, but i would suggest that you just do some simple things to make it harder for yourself to over-eat. Maybe you could make up all of your meals for the week and then put them in the freezer and take out only one when you're going to eat it. What I do when I want snacks in between meals is to count out what one serving size of the stuff is and put it in a bag. Then I put the food away and eat only what's in my bag. If it's one of those days where all you can think about is food, go somewhere like the mall and leave your cash at home so you're not tempted to spend it all on food at the food court... Instead use credit cards, gift cards, or a check to pay for whatever you want from the stores... I find that I ususally get so wrapped up in shopping that I forget that I'm even hungry in the first place. ]
first you should go to a doctor and ask him what he thinks the problem is if that doesn't help only get food that is healthy that way even if you are hungry you wont gain weight or get hunger pills i had the same problem ask a nutrionist first though they will help you have food only when appropraite like breakfast lunch and dinner ]
My advice is when you get bored and there's nothing to do, instead of eating, exercise :) Go on a treadmill or go for a run.. or do some crunches.. etc. If you don't need to lose weight, and you just want to stop eating so much.. when you get bored, do something other than eating. Call up a friend, go somewhere, play a game, .. find something else to do.

Well I mean are you overweight? Like some people.. like me are like really skinny and as much as I eat I dont get fat..or u like that? I mean you should exercise alot anyway because its good for you and if you want to lose weight or just stay healthy exercise some each day. You can still eat...XoXoLexiXOXo ]
Haha...I'm like that too. I eat sooo much whenever I'm given the opportunity. Just as long as it's not negatively affecting your health, it's perfectly okay. If it bothers you a lot, try to find something to keep your mind occupied. Whenever I end up eating a lot like that it's because I'm bored and don't have anything else to do. Distract yourself from the food somehow. Go somewhere, clean, make something, basically, do something with your hands. Another idea is to keep food away from you. If it's sitting out, put it away. I don't konw how much I helped, but I hope I helped a little at least. Good luck! ]
Alot of people have this problem, and many don't realize it, so its an excellent thing that you have realized it. You say that when you have time on your hands that seems to be the time when you eat alot, this could be because your bored in all that extra time- so try to keep busy throughout everything. Make sure its somewhere where your comfortable with your enviroment, your very well entertained but NOT at home. When people are at home they often get a sense they can do whatever they want, but in this case you have to dicipline yourself. Keep yourself busy.
As for continuously eating further after your satisfied, try eating between times but at a very small amount. Try not to "stuff" yourself to where your stomach gets full. The less you eat will help your stomach adjust to this small amount causing your stomach to tighten up on the inside. In other words, it'll get a little smaller and the more you try to eat, you'll get too full to eat it and this is a great help. It helps dignify what your limits are on your intake of food.

No offense, but I would go see a doctor. I had the same problem, and they said it was just out of boredom. They gave me ideas of things to do that were my definition of "fun" (hehehe like blowing things up) and I stopped eating so much. It really does help to go talk to someone about problems you may have, like I am going to a psycologist (i think I spelled that wrong) once a week to talk about things and get ideas for thing to do. :) hope this helped.

well, if you live with your parents you should tell them to buy more healtiher foods. get rid off all the junk food and that way when you go grab some food it will be good for you! also when you have time on your hands you should go to the gym instead of eating.. or go for a run/ do some sit ups that way insteead of gaining weight you will loose some! call up some friends! i hope i helped <3 ]
