Does anyone know how to make your picture smaller? I tried this one program Adobe Photoshop and zoomed out of the pic then saved it. But it was back to the normal size. Please Help!!!
Then the page will refresh, and you should see a new page with an option to click on "BROWSE". Next, search your computer for the picture(s), and click "SUBMIT". Then the page will refresh yet again. You will see all/any images you happen to have on the new screen. Simply find the picture you want, and copy the PROVIDED URL in the top white slot.
Next, paste that URL in your "URL OF A PICTURE OF YOU" slot, on your "PROFILE SETTINGS" page.
It may sound difficult, but it's actually super easy. :D
Or, if you'd REALLY rather resize it, it can be done on Windows Paint program in a matter of seconds. You just take any picture on your computer. And paste it on Window's Paint program. Then go up to "FILE", "SAVE AS".. then a window will appear, and where it says "SAVE AS TYPE", if it DOESN'T say "JPEG. [*JPG, *JPEG, *JPE, *JFIF]"... then make it do so. Then to resize, go to "IMAGE" and down to "STRETCH/SKEW", and keep bringing down the top two percentage things little by little until it's the size of an AIM icon, ya know? :) [ Mackenzie's advice column | Ask Mackenzie A Question ]

AGEHA answered Monday October 31 2005, 10:46 pm: Why do you have photoshop if you have no idea how to even resize a picture? Just curious.
To resize in Photoshop:
(In the menu bar at the top)
Image -> Image Size...
Constrain the proportions of the dimensions so that your picture won't look distorted. You can then decrease the size of your picture from here, and then save it as a new, smaller file.
-------------------------------------------------
Seeing as that is a lot of work for a very simple task, try something like the XP Powertoys Image Resizer.
After installing, right click on a picture in a folder, and select "Resize Pictures." You can then pick a preset, common resolution, or if you really feel the need, make your own dimensions. Once you install this Windows update, you will find this to be the easiest and quickest way to resize a picture. You will also be able to select multiple pictures at once and convert them all at the same time to the same lower resolution, which is INCREDIBLY quick and handy, and saves loads of time.
Just don't delete your source picture(s), in case you want to print a high resolution photograph at a later date, because you are obviously not going to be able to resize a smaller picture to it's original quality.
Sidenote: If you intend to put the picture online, editing the html tag won't resize the picture, only scale it. Doing this can be a big mistake if you post source digital camera pictures, as a 5 megapixel picture scaled to 320 x 240 in an html tag will make for an incredibly LARGE download (upwards of 2 megabytes), when actually resizing to 320 x 240 will give you a file closer to .02 megabytes. Why is this important? Because for one, if you don't need to show such a highly detailed picture, then you shouldn't have a file that is. Also, you have to keep in mind that not everyone accessing may have a broadband connection. For a 56k user, this can be a wait time of 5-10 minutes to load a picture, when a properly resized picture will take even a 56k user a matter of seconds to download. therocketsummer answered Sunday October 30 2005, 7:11 pm: in adobe you can't just zoom out and expect the size to change. This is what you have to do.
Go to IMAGE
You'll see a tab named 'image size'
a tab will pop up with the HEIGHT and WIDTH you want it
I'd suggest 250 [height] by 250. That's a pretty good size.
Then you save it.

Great place!
Sign up, upload pictures.
Above each picture it will have a button that says "edit". Click that, and re-size it 75%, 50%, or 25%. Depending on how big the picture is. If you accidently make it too small, you can start over by uploading the picture again. If you need help, you can ask me. [ Sherry's advice column | Ask Sherry A Question ]
