i seem to be targetted by vandals at my home
whilst on holiday vandals climbed over an 8' gate and broke a window in my vehicle - police didn't bother to come out!
I have had missiles thrown down the drive hitting my rear door and garage
Banana skins dropped at the top of the drive
and an 8' cane thrown at the drive gates
this has been going on for some months now - I have never seen anyone to be able to identify them
not sure how to react - do i just ignore it and hope they get bored?
I am on my own and getting very restless about this I can't understand why i am being targetted

Also if you haven't told the police about everything that has been going on you could do that and maybe ask them to sit down the street and keep a watch out. [ jean_nicole's advice column | Ask jean_nicole A Question ]

MrsStevenMarkJones answered Friday October 21 2005, 2:41 pm: you are such a strong person! normal people would have cracked under that kind of stuff. basically, you have to take pictures of the damages. record exact dates and times. take all the notes and be specific. then you go to the police. they can have your house watched. be careful and i hope you figure it out

The cameras will help to get information back to the police that you are serious about having this stopped, as well as proof of who is doing this to you. This might be costly but it would be worth it. In the mean time a dog helps a bit. Sometimes this will scare them away .. but they can still throwing things onto your property. The best thing is a security system with video cameras.
Altruistic answered Friday October 21 2005, 10:04 am: Don't ignore it!! They'll probably take it as a sign that you don't really care and just keep on vandalizing your home. You might want to invest in, rather than a gun, a security system... maybe on with security cameras? But that might be going a little way overboard. If the police don't come, go to them. Tell them that it is serious and they should do something about it. If they dont, take the matters into your own hands... and maybe think about investing in one or more guard dogs? I've never been vandalized so I don't know that much, but I hope you can beat them down! :) [ Altruistic's advice column | Ask Altruistic A Question ]
Mckick answered Friday October 21 2005, 10:02 am: WEll I hope I can help. You could try and get a camcorder and but it out side where you think the person or persond are coming over the gate or somewhere that they can't see it. If that doesn't work I would keep a security system for outside and that would probably help. There probably teenagers just being stupid. hope i helped.
