I am really shy around guys but I think I come off as standoffish. I don't mean to be shy...I just can't ever think of anything to say. Is this why guys don't like me?

Probaly. If you don't take part in the conversations or ignore them then they won't bother. If you can't think of anything to say just listen in. If you do think of something, don't hold it back, say it!

Nah. Its ok that you are shy around guys, just as many guys are shy around girls, so you aren't the only one. I know what you mean about not knowing what to say though...I say just relax. If you play it off like they are already your friend and you know them [not in a weird way, a casual way]. Really, if you keep reminding yourself that you are shy or that guys won't like you for that, you'll probably turn out to be more shy or nervous, and not be as confident as you should. I say just be yourself, and just because you might be shy around guys, doesn't mean you don't know how to have fun. Show them that. Hope that helped, good luck.

I don't think that boys don't like you because of that,They may just think you aren't intrested.Its okay that your shy.You can try and be more outgoing,But if that isn't your personality then it may come off kind of awkward or unusual for you to be acting diffrent.Be yourself and smile more.You don't have to talk to come across as friendly.Actually some cute guys are sometimes shy too.So maybe you could start a conversation with someone more like yourself...It may workout ! You can try and be more outgoing, but if that isn't your personality, then it may come across as awkward and would ultimately make you more inhibited. Be yourself and smile more. You don't have to talk to come across as friendly. Also, I notice that a lot of guys, cute ones are also kind of shy. You can strike up a conversation with someone who is shy like you and I bet that both of you would really enjoy hanging out with each other. Also, i think that guys like shy girls sometimes more than loud ones. :) Good luck and keep me posted.

Some guys are turned off by people that are shy around them so you might want to try and be more open. this is gonna take some time but eventually will come. even if you dont know what to say just make small talk! talk bout animals, parents, sisters, brothers, exc. I hoped I helped!

Well i think some guys like the shy type.. and rather have a shy not big mouth girl.. maybe you just haven`t found a guy to like and except who you are.. try opening up a little bit it might be a while til you find somebody you can actually do that with tho.. ♥ Dez

It might be a little part of why they dont like you... i have the same problem...I have been trying to be more outgoing around them but it just doesnt feel right...but the best advice i can give is just try and be yourself act like you do when you with your good friedns...

Hey, I'm exactly like you. I don't think it's necessarily why they don't like you. They just don't notice you as much as the other girls. But I'm sure if your personality showed through, they'd see you're a wonderful person & would probably be more attracted to you. The truth is, guys like girls who are outgoing & confident. This doesn't mean you need to change yourself, but try throwing in a few comments every now & then; even if they are completely random. Atleast get comfortable enough around them to where coming up with things to say comes naturally. :)

Not likely. Some guys like the quiet shy type and others like the outgoing bold girls. Depends on the guy's taste I guess. There's probably a guy who likes you, but he's probably like you and is too shy to tell you ;]
