hersheylover answered Tuesday October 4 2005, 2:02 pm: i know what your going through, i babysit 5 kids everyday (ages 4-12). Ask the boy what he likes to do...see if he wants to play any specific games. otherwise you can go to [Link](Mouse over link to see full location)
this is the website I go to when any kids are bored, there are a ton of crafts you can do with things around the house. there are so many crafts, you will never get bored! if they dont have anything around the house, you can do what they did in the Babysitter's Club books. bring a kid kit. just use like and old lunch box or shoebox, and fill it with craft supplies (the whole thing probably doesn't cost more than $10 to make) and it is sooo worth it! you can put construction paper, glue, tape, straws, safety scizzors, crayons, markers, stickers, yarn, whatevere else odds and ends you can get. Even throw in some old board games that you don't use anymore if you can...trust me, this is the type of thing kids like, I have had 5 years experience. Hope I helped...plz rate!...hersheylover... emster812 answered Saturday September 24 2005, 4:08 pm: Ask parents if you can: bake cookies, go to the park, roller skate in the driveway...
You could bring them coloring books, buy crayons. You can play this game where you dump all of the crayons into a lunch sack and pull out 5 for each kid. Let them draw youa picture using only those colors.
You can bring a deck of cards and play go fish. Play easy games like Hide and Go Seek, Tag in the backyard, freeze tag, Cartoon tag (person about to be tagged can save themselves by touching the ground and saying a cartoon before you tag them), and TV tag(same thing).
Sorry so short- Hope I helped!

TaintedPurity answered Friday September 23 2005, 1:33 am: I have a few ideas, but here is one that sticks out in my mind. Collect some old magazines (Ones that kids can flip through. NOT Cosmo or Sports Illistrated), like Family Circle, Parents, Home and Garden, or things like that. Make sure there are lots of ads in the magazines also. Then make two cards (Like bingo). Instead of number in the squares write things like "Lipstick" or "Macaroni and Cheese". Give each child an equal amount of magazines and have them cut out the pictures they find that match the word inside of the square. Once they have a bingo they can win a prize. It's a really fun game for them, but make sure you flip through the magazines to be positive that the words you write on the cards are in the magazine. If he doesn't enjoy playing computer now, he'll only grow up to enjoy killing people and eating dogs. [ sillyrob's advice column | Ask sillyrob A Question ]
Juicygirl answered Friday September 23 2005, 12:25 am: I'm glad you noticed the boy is feeling a left out and want to address the problem fast. Here is a website filled with ideas: [Link](Mouse over link to see full location)
The ones I'm finding good are fancy dinnerware, peanut people, nature bracelet, and pie plate tambourine. The others are a bit too messy or inappropriate for a 5-7 year old (either too elaborate or too many uses of the stove or scissors which the kids are bound to want to help).
Another idea is giving each kid 3-5 different colored crayons and asking them to draw whatever they want, but they can only use the crayons given to them.
www.amazingmoms.com also offers great ideas. Go to the K-5 section and the Quick and Easy section for great ideas.
Remember that going outside is important to their physical development. Give em a ball and play along, making sure they're both included. Here are some adorable outdoor games I've found: [Link](Mouse over link to see full location)
You might want to get the parental ok (and any supplies you need) before you get started on these activities. Remember activities that seem dangerous or too hard for them to understand, you're probably right. There are plenty of activities to choose from. Have fun ;) [ Juicygirl's advice column | Ask Juicygirl A Question ]
