Mackenzie answered Wednesday September 28 2005, 7:00 am: I've never ever heard anything about body size having anything to do with this. This is a personal matter, and everybody is different. I can not say if something is "wrong" with you, because I'm not a medical professional who has just examined you. I *CAN tell you that just because you are a 13 year old female who has not yet began her cycle.. does NOT make something "wrong" with you. People start at all different ages, and not having your period by 13 is perfectly healthy, not to mention very common. If you reach the age of 16/17/ and still have not started, THEN would be the time to seek some medical attention. Until then, don't sweat it.. :) [ Mackenzie's advice column | Ask Mackenzie A Question ]
S_C answered Sunday September 18 2005, 8:57 am: Don't worry about it, I didn't start my period until I was 14, actually I started in March. You honestly don't want to start it just yet, it is sooo not fun! My period had been funny so this past week my mom took me to the doctors, so I was asking her questions, and my doctor said unless you're 16 and you haven't had it, then you're fine. So it's all good for now. I have friends who didn't start until they were 16 and 17, but at that time you should really see a doctor. You still have about 2 and a half years before you should start to worry. [ S_C's advice column | Ask S_C A Question ]

theshortonexO0x answered Sunday September 18 2005, 1:25 am: no there's nothing wrong with you!! i'm 13 and some of my friends haven't started either! it can happen anytime from 11-16 usually, so you have plenty of time. don't like want it or anything lol because periods suck. they're not fun at all. you get cramps and omg you don't want it. and thye always seem to come when you least expect it. once you get it, you will have it until you're like 50 or so when you reach menopause. that's going to be a reallyyy long time. there's nothing you can do tho. just keep on living life normallyy. hope this helps!! :]♥ [ theshortonexO0x's advice column | Ask theshortonexO0x A Question ]
karenR answered Sunday September 18 2005, 1:25 am: How big you are really has nothing to do with it. You should be starting soon. There is nothing wrong at all. I found you a website that will tell you all about things. Check it out and you will see that you are normal. :)
shianne answered Sunday September 18 2005, 1:22 am: Its not to abmormal to not have started your period yet. girls start at different times. the average age is between 11-12yrs of age but its still not abnormal to get it between the ages 9-16. and even then some girls go way outside the range. however as a young woman you have every right to be concerned about your body and what is going on. make an appointment with your doctor or talk to your parents about maybe seeing a gynocologist because they specialize in this line of medical care. i dont believe you have anything to worry about and its ok to be a late starter. but stress is not healthy at all so to make you feel more comfortable you should go see a doctor.
good luck!

FrEe2bMe answered Sunday September 18 2005, 1:08 am: Hey, don't be alarmed. There is absolutely nothing wrong with you. You can get your period anywhere from age 11-17. So, you still have plenty of time. Some girls just start before others. Some of it has to do with genetics. Just be patient, and besides, it's not that great anyways! :) [ FrEe2bMe's advice column | Ask FrEe2bMe A Question ]
