hi. i read another question on here about heaven and for the Christians out there..what does it take to be in heaven? i go to church, i try to be nice to people, and i pray daily but how do i know if im doing enough? =(

Really dont know if your right track. You just have to have faith in God. He will help you along the way. Also have to believe that Jesus Christ is our savior.

to go to heaven you have to ask jesus as your personal savior and believe tat he is the only way... praying and going to church is an important part of you daily walk with god. you have to realize that the bibl is"Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth" the bible is god's tool. and prayer is used to confess your sins and ask god for help

There is a one way ticket to heaven. Its Jesus Christ. Trust him with your life. Pray for him to come into your heart. And thats your safe passage to the promise land!

It's not what you can do for God that gets you into heaven. You can give everything you own to charity. You can go to church everyday. You can volunteer at a homeless shelter or the hospital working on the terminal wards all you want and it won't get you into heaven.
There is only one way, according to the New Testament, to get into heaven. That is to have faith in Jesus Christ and to accept him as your Lord and Saviour. And it's as simple as asking him to come into your heart. That's all. That's it! Just remember that you have to mean it when you do it.

hey i know how you feel because everything about heaven and if your going ornot is so confusing .
but if you have jesus in your heart and if you try your hardest to live for god instead of everyone else then you will end up inheaven.
I know you wonder because everyone does but just dont live for yourself and everyone else just live for god .....i am not saying dont do nice things for people iam saying that no matter what other people say or do to you keep on beleiving that you will make it throughh this life and you will go to heaven..because life is just a waiting room for heaven but if you want to make it you just have to wait patiently.

First off the only 100% way you will not make it to heaven is if you deny that Jesus did not die for you and all that jazz. But getting into heaven isnt about how much you do. Its about how you do what you do. If you get me. Like say your out shopping - just one small example the clothes you buy. The way you present yourself. If you dont know if your going to heaven then you needa talk to your preacher. Because like you could die any day now and would you be ready? I dont konw if you've ever watched "Left Behind" but theres 2 and a 3 is about to come out but its about Jesus coming back. I think it might help you a little bit. Its good to watch with like a group or something. But you cant be perfect so dont beat yourself up about just ask God for forgiveness. Pray to God to show you what else you need to be doing. Are you abiding by the 10 commandments?

Everybody does have a different view but that doesn't mean they're necessarily right. Works aren't enough and i think by feeling this way, God's really trying to tell you that He wants everything. He wants you to COMPLETELY trust in him. No amount of praying or church can get you to Heaven. Praying is talking to God and like having a conversation. Having a conversation with somebody can't make you go to Heaven. Going to church is how we worship God and think about Him. That's just a result of being saved or born again. When i was 11 i started worrying about that too. I felt like i seriously wasn't going to Heaven. But after talking to God about it, i knew that i had to put my trust in Him. That i couldn't save myself and after that, i knew i had to have faith that He said if we call on His name, He will save us. If you haven't asked God to save your sins, then yes, you're going to hell whether you're a praying, church-going person. That's why Jesus died for us in the first place, so we could have access to Heaven. But we have to ask for forgiveness of our sins and then ,"we'll be made whole." Just start talking to God one-on-one about what you need to do. He wont ignore you. I know some of what i said sounds really harsh, but I'm a Christian and i want to tell you how it is so you can fix this and feel right about it. Just pray about it, okay? i think everyone has their own idea of what it takes to get into heaven, and i dont belive anyone reason is better than the other. as im sure you have learned in church faith is about your personal relationship with god, if you feel you are doing all you can, then i am sure it is enough. the fact that you are even trying says alot, and i think you know in your heart where you are going

These things will NOT get you to heaven. The Bible says our good works are like filthy rags. We are saved by grace alone. The Bible says:
Gal 2:16 yet we know that a person is not justified by works of the law but through faith in Jesus Christ, so we also have believed in Christ Jesus, in order to be justified by faith in Christ and not by works of the law, because by works of the law no one will be justified.
And: Eph 2:8-9 For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.
In other words, there are not enough good things you could possibly do too make it to heaven. Putting your faith in Jesus Christ is the ONLY way. It's called being born again. The Holy Spirit then lives in you. Only after a true heart change do good works count. Once you are born again, then you do good works because you ARE saved.

all of that is a very goodreason to deserve to go to heaven.just make sure that every night you pray and ask GOD to forgive you for your sins.even if you dont pray daily GOD will still love and except you.dont think just because you dont do everything perfect that you wont be excepted into heaven.GOd loves you for who you are not for what other people think or want you to be!!!
