If she's in her fifties you really have nothing to worry about except maybe cancer or diet related things (of course there can always be car accidents or other non-health related reason that can happen to anyone.) She's still kind of young in today's standerds. If she's older, like 65 or something, then it also sort of depends on how long her relatives lived. If you can get ahold of records or some info from you're mom it can say alot about the genetics in your family. Anyway, just enjoy every day you have with her and have her go to the doctors often, like once a year. She should be fine then! [ jenymca's advice column | Ask jenymca A Question ]

I know how your feeling because my dad is a heavy smoker and sometimes i think about what would happen if he had a heart attack, or got lung cancer..but i came to realize that you have to enjoy life..live life day by day..and you cant live it worrying about what could happen a week, month, or year from now. i hope that made you feel better..because life can bring unexpected things..just concentrate on the present..and dont focus all your attention on the future.
