LISTEN CAREFULLY!
Birth control is only 99.9% effect you'd prolly figure oh yeah thats close to 100% so whatever But the boys cum CAN be that .1 percent to get you pregnant so use a condomn plus bc doesnt protect against STD's so again use a condom.
lilolamberlynn8806 answered Thursday September 8 2005, 8:21 pm: Dear Birth Control,
Hi! Birth control is 99% effective, but you should still be using a condom! Birth control isn't effective to STD's. If he cums inside of you and your on birth control I don't think you will be safe! Your best bet is to stay on your birth control and use condoms to be 100% effective! Just keep in mind not all STD's are able to be protected by condoms! I hope I helped
Always

jean_nicole answered Tuesday September 6 2005, 10:07 pm: It would be best to also use a condom but you dont have to because birth control alone is like 99% effective. But a condom would be good if you didn't know who the guy has already slept with to keep you safe from STD's. [ jean_nicole's advice column | Ask jean_nicole A Question ]
mxpimpette26 answered Tuesday September 6 2005, 9:38 pm: i would advice you to us a condom also. cuz my best friend takes bc and she never wore a condom w/ her boyfriend. and well she is pregnant. so it's not a 100% safe. [ mxpimpette26's advice column | Ask mxpimpette26 A Question ]
hailebop answered Tuesday September 6 2005, 5:50 pm: If you take your birth control reliably, it should leave you fully protected against pregnancy. There are however obviously other risks associated with sex which the birth control pill does not protect against, including STDs such as clahmydia or HIV. If you aren't 100% sure that your partner has a clean bill of sexual health, it's a good idea to use condoms to protect yourself against potential infections.
It is also a good idea to use both condoms and the pill together for added protection against pregnancy, as around 60% of women miss at least one pill a month, which reduces the effectiveness quite drastically. If you are using a condom too then you've got that additional backup and reassurance that you're covered. That said though, if you just use your birth control pills as your sole contraceptive, there is a 98-99% chance you are protected from pregnancy, so do keep things in focus and don't worry too much - yes, you should be sensible and take all the precautions you reasonably can, but don't obsess about that point one of a percent chance, as yes, the pill is designed to be used as a contraceptive on its own.
To answer your question: yes, the birth control pill is designed to protect you from pregnancy without any other contraceptives, so your boyfriend can come inside you and you'll be protected from pregnancy. For the reasons outlined above though, you might think it's worth using condoms in addition to the pill for extra reassurance. All the best. [ hailebop's advice column | Ask hailebop A Question ]
Mackenzie answered Tuesday September 6 2005, 12:14 pm: To be on the safe side, you should still use a condom. Birth control helps prevent the likelihood of pregnancy, but it is in NO WAY a 100% guarantee. Sure, it reduces the chances of pregnancy, but it does NOT protect against HIV, AIDS and other Sexually Transmitted Diseases.. Those things certainly do not sound fun to me, so I doubt you're looking forward to them either.. :X [ Mackenzie's advice column | Ask Mackenzie A Question ]

LiLReBeL6907 answered Tuesday September 6 2005, 10:15 am: You can still not use a condom when you are on birth control, but I don't suggest it just because birth control is not all the way effective against pregnancy. Without a condom you are also most succeptible to STD's and other diseases. Plus if you are using birth control pills you might mess it up by not taking a pill at the right time and that could lead you succeptible to becoming pregnant if you don't use protection of some sort. Hope I helped. ~Sherah [ LiLReBeL6907's advice column | Ask LiLReBeL6907 A Question ]
sbloemeke answered Tuesday September 6 2005, 9:38 am: Birthcontrol works 99% of the time. That is, if you have been taking it for at least the advised time before having sex. Condoms work 99% of the time. But, there is always that 1%. So, you are never safe unless you practice abstinense.
Using a condom with Birth control only lowers the odds of getting pregnant. So it is better to use it, but you don't have to. Because 3 out of every 4 conceptions abort without you knowing it. So, it really is a 1/297 chance without the condom, 1/29403 chance with.
Hope this helped!

TrojNgrl6907 answered Tuesday September 6 2005, 9:35 am: If your concerns are about being safe, i would suggest use a condom and be on birth control. I know that is the only way i would want to have sex, and even then i could still get pregnant..nothing is 100% unfortunately [ TrojNgrl6907's advice column | Ask TrojNgrl6907 A Question ]
karenR answered Tuesday September 6 2005, 9:27 am: You are safe from pregnancy so long as you are on birth control. Of course nothing is 100%. BC does not however protect you from STDs. That would still be a reason to use condoms. And since some diseases (such as AIDS) are life altering if not deadly, condoms are still a good idea. You can get tested but the tests take time. :) [ karenR's advice column | Ask karenR A Question ]
