i have been in private school my whole life since pre-k now im going into eight and im a little worried because after this year im going to a public school im a little worried is private school all that differnt from public ps people at my school think im a misfit b/c i dont rly fit in with the whole private school thing so plz help

Depends on what public school your going to some are bad some are good! One tip is not to get in with the wrong crowd consequences is death, doing drugs and drinking etc. etc. Just be yourself and everything will be fine! If you dont know how to tell which crowd is bad or not just ask yourself a question Would I eally enjoy doing that kind of thing? or Would I enjoy hanging with this person or group? impressions can tell you who the person is inside! lol, im going into the eighth grade too but ive always gone to a public school. look, a public school isnt that diffrent except
1.you dont have uniforms
2.the teachers anrt as...formal i guess you could say
3.some schools may be alittle bit more rough.
look, just be yourself and dont try to fit in.
be friendly to everyone and dont start rumers..you'll do just fine.

well i have never been in a private skool but im pretty sure that you will have a lot more freedom in public skool it will be hard at first but youll get used to it..there are all kinds of different groups you'll fit in somwhere i promise and you willl most likely have more fun all you need to know is that there will probably be more sex talk and more people making fun of each other its natural...hope i helped!

((im assuming you are a girl! sorry if youre not!)) well ive been going to a private school since 4th grade and before then i went to public and all my friends go 2 public schools 2 and there really is no difference other than that private schools are more formal and usually more strict and proper and all that! but public school isnt that bad... theres so many different kinds of people theres always a group to fit in with... youll actually probably like it a lot better... dont sweat youll be fine!! good luck!!

I used to go to a private school and had to switch to public school for middle school. I felt nervous and had questions as well. The only real difference is that when you go to public school, you get lots of attention because you used to be in private school. However, that will be useful in making friends. You will have to follow different rules, of course, but overall school is school, and it will be easy to adapt. Happy schooling!

In private schools the students seem to be a little snootier than in public schools. I'm gonna guess you aren't the snooty type. So, you should fit in a lot better at public school. I think you will enjoy it much better. :)
