Smoke on the water, Ace of Spades & Stairway to heaven are always the 1st 3 that come to my mind.

By classic i take it you are talking about songs that are more than 10 yrs old and still get played on radio today?

Well most Beatles songs are good. I'm a Beatles fanatic :). but if you are specifically asking for songs, I say Come Together (beatles) Revolution (Beatles) Yellow Submarine (Beatles) and stuff like that i guess...

Just to add a few songs to Panramos's list:

The Rain Song - Led Zeppelin
When the Levee Breaks - Led Zeppelin
The Ocean - Led Zeppelin
Going to California - Led Zeppelin
Tangerine - Led Zeppelin
Another Brick in the Wall (Parts 1,2,3) - Pink Floyd
Money - Pink Floyd
Wish You Were Here - Pink Floyd
Bohemian Rhapsody - Queen
We Will Rock You - Queen
Killer Queen - Queen
(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction - Rolling Stones
Have You Ever Seen the Rain? - Creedance Clearwater Revival
Proud Mary - Creedance Clearwater Revival

Those are all great songs. Led Zeppelin is my favorite band, followed by Queen and the Rolling Stones. Pink Floyd is pretty good as well.

Happy listening.

Well there is my favorite band, Guns N Roses, I think they would be considered Classic Rock. My favorite song by Guns N roses is Sweet Child O mine & Sympathy for the devil. Then of course anything by Jimi Hendrix. Queen is a good one too, but don't just think of "We will rock you." They have Alot of good songs. Also try looking up Poison and Iron Maiden. Kind of more heavy metal though.

rock on,

I'm not much of a rocker, but I can tell you a few besides Jet. Let's see... anything by Queen... and Girls Just Wanna Have Fun... yeah. Er, if you want rock, go to the Hardrock Cafe, it's playing rock song music videos all the time, you're bound to find something. Located in Washington, D.C.

I'll just randomly name the best song off the pile of albums next to me (all classic rock ~ For the sake of time and space I won't name the same band twice).

Whipping Post - The Allman Brothers Band
The Turn of a Friendly Card (Part Two) - The Alan Parsons Project
House of the Rising Sun - The Animals
Roll on Down the Highway - Bachman Turner Overdrive
Happiness is a Warm Gun - The Beatles
Sabbra Cadabra - Black Sabbath
On the Road Again - Bob Dylan
Fire On High - Electric Light Orchestra
White Rabbit - Jefferson Airplane
All Along the Watchtower- The Jimi Hendrix Experience
Battle of Evermore - Led Zeppelin
Diary of a Madman - Ozzy Osbourne
Sheep - Pink Floyd
Simple Sister - Procol Harum
Melancholy Blues - Queen
Gimme Shelter - The Rolling Stones
The Sound of Silence - Simon and Garfunkel
Kid Charlemagne - Steely Dan
The Pusher - Steppenwolf
Eruption - Van Halen
Slang - Weather Report

~There's plenty more, old, new and in-between. You can direct any further requests to my inbox.
