yesss its real! i was watching the casting of it (*they showed it during the finale last season) and they were telling all about it before the show was even taped. and it says its real before it starts!

I`m not agreeing with some of the people that said its real just because it says it at the begging of the show! Soooo many people said its scripted and sometimes it seems that way. But its still my favorite show. Anywho..no one can be POSITIVE if its true or not. Its just an opinion and something you want to belive in. At times I think its real at times I dont. So its up to you hun. It doesnt always seem perfect but that's just their lives and I guess thats how they live. But who cares anyways the show rocks!

well i think laguna beach must be real because all the characters say," LiKE" about a million times like normal people do and i dont think that people would like that manii times in the script you know? so yea i think its real lol but sum of it does seem fake but they talk like normal ppl hope mii answer helped

yeah i guess its true. but its pretty cool if it happened where i live. but guess what. when i was in laguna beach-i met stephen. he taught me how to skimboard. pretty cool huh? hes actually really nice in person. i guess laguna beach is unreal cus really that drama is so complex and so dramatic.

I totally agree with you! It does seem waay to perfect. I don't think it's real. I think they just grabbed a bunch of rich good looking people and told them who they were going to be and who was going to hate who. Even though i don't really believe it's real, I still love to watch it anyway. Drama is always good when it's happening to other people. It's kinda like a movie, you know it's not real but who cares, it's still really good anyways.

yea, the events on the show are real and not made up, even if they do seem too perfect. some people just have really good lives with a lot of drama. they even tell you that everything's real at the beginning of the show

People actually FROM Laguna Beach said they took the richest, most beautiful, snobbiest kids they could find and molded their lives to be even MORE perfect... all the drama is...
