Nevaeh314 answered Sunday August 7 2005, 2:18 pm: Talk to your doctor, you could have tonsillitis or any of the more serious infections that are associated with it, such as viral meningitis. I doubt that the latter is the case, but talk to your doctor right away just in case. When I had the same thing happen, my doctor suggested that I have my tonsils taken out because they were so huge, and I did, and it's helped SOO much, like I haven't had anything since. Hope this helps, get better soon!

LongLostHeart answered Saturday August 6 2005, 12:38 am: Go to your doctor immediatly.
You may have to get your tonsils taken out.It may also be your adnoids hurting...they're like the tonsils only a bit lower in the throat. ((I have my adnoids removed when I was young))
HawthorneHeightsFreak answered Friday August 5 2005, 9:58 pm: well you hould go to the doctor or hospital so they can remove them asap and also when you wont them to kinda stop hurting i heard cold water like drinking it or gurgling it helps or hot or warm water and taking halls breezers that help the throat helps a lot. Karen answered Friday August 5 2005, 5:45 pm: You may need to get your tonsils removed. Talk to your parents and have them talk to a doctor. This happened to me a few years ago but I ignored it so I may need to get my tonsils removed also. If you're tonsils are huge, then you should see a doctor. MummuM answered Friday August 5 2005, 5:41 pm: I think you should really go to the doctor and talk to your parents about this. I had this problem when I was younger and I had to get my tonsils removed. A lot of kids get them removed now-a-days so they don't have any problems when they grow up. You really don't feel a thing because they put you to sleep while they take your tonsils out. After they are done, you usually stay in the hospital for a night or two and get to pig out on ice cream :)

karenR answered Friday August 5 2005, 5:16 pm: My son had that problem. His large tonsil caused him to snore and if he ate crackers or chips they would even bleed. He finally got them removed and felt so much better. Get with a doctor and see if this is an option for you. A doctor could give you the best advice. :) [ karenR's advice column | Ask karenR A Question ]
