Phones and voices?

Question Posted Wednesday August 3 2005, 6:24 pm

Hullo

Just wondering, is it true that phones/cell phones can deepen the tone of your voice, especially a female one? Thanks.

Sometimes. Depending on the phone, it can make your voice sound different, but not extremely. Sometimes friends won't recognize your voice, for instance.
♥ Hope I helped.

i think it does. when i call home and leave a message and then my parents don't delete it and i listen to it, it sounds really weird and deep. i don't know if it's a fact but i notice a diffrence when i'm talking with my friends too.

It is normal for your voice to sound different on the phone, but it might not be deeper. For example, I can sing higher on the phone than I normally do.

I'm sure it can. A lot of people sound different on the phone. And we all sound differently than we hear ourselves. lol, well thats what i've heard. Kinda weird to me, but whatever. And yes, phones can make you sound differently.

Yes, everyone's voice sounds different while on a phone or cell phone. If you have a cell phone, call your home phone and listen to yourself. It's so weird!

Yes that is true. It's just like when you hear someone else's voice on camera and they sound slightly different.
