sublime_burritos answered Sunday July 31 2005, 5:09 am: i have a friend who's parents were using both the pill and a condom when she was concieved...i'm sure the odds of that happening are microscopic, but it happens. however, what it sounds like from your question is more of the pills not being taken correctly, or your body reacting negatively to them. i'd ask your doctor and see if you need to change brands of pills, or if you're just not taking them correctly. hope i helped! <3 [ sublime_burritos's advice column | Ask sublime_burritos A Question ]

Based on your age, periods can be random and inconsistent. If you are older and this cycle continues to happen, i would seriously recommend a professional's help. You might want to take a pregnancy test if you are uncomfortable with going to a doctor just yet. But if it turns out positive, see your doctor!!! jbdreamer answered Thursday July 28 2005, 11:10 am: Birth control is not 100% effective, so there is always a chance you could become pregnat. And if you are not consistant with taking your pills, the the chances are even higher.
My sisters best friend became pregnant twice while on birth control. I think it was because she didn't take her pills at the same time every day and she was a larger girl. Birth control is known not to be as effective in larger women. So yes, there is a chance you could be pregnant - take a test. [ jbdreamer's advice column | Ask jbdreamer A Question ]
ncblondie answered Thursday July 28 2005, 2:11 am: Yes it is possible to get pregnant while on the pill. The chance is small though, only about 5% with typical use (meaning you generally take it correctly but from time to time forget it) and less than 1% if you take it daily like you're supposed to.
How long have you been on the pill? If you just went on it, sometimes it takes a few cycles before your period settles down to a regular schedule.
Do you have any other symptoms of pregnancy? Breast tenderness, frequent need to pee, feeling more tired than normal, more emotional than usual, nausea (doesn't always hit just in the mornings), and darkening of your nipples are all signs. [ ncblondie's advice column | Ask ncblondie A Question ]
