my room
hey im looking for like some cool accesories for my room ..its a medium sized room and the walls are a lightblue color [which i cannot change because we just painted them a year ago] i have a white comforter and my furniture is like a dark oak color ..my mom and i went looking around for accesories at bed, bath, and beyond and also at target and we couldnt really find anything good ..does anybody know any websites or stores where i can find cool accesories for my room? thanks ..i rate high [=

well i dont know how much you are willing to spend on this whole thing... try pbteen.com for some cute pillows. if you dont mind doing so, you could sorta tie dye your white comforter and add some sheer window treatments. walmart...i was there today for school stuff && they have some realllllyyyy cute bed sets!! they have fuzzy and silky for all kinds of things and they werent too expensive either. try some of the rugs they have. if you have any old furniture, paint it so it matches the rest of your room. hope this helps and let me know if you need any more decorating ideas!! <3

Have you tried JC Penney? They have some cute stuff that you might like. They are having a sale on home furnishings right now so you may be able to find you something for fairly cheap.

Delia's is a company my 16 year old sister gets a lot of stuff from. They mostly offer clothing but do offer some decorating items. Right now they're having a 15% sale on bedding and offering free shipping on orders over $75.

I get a lot of my throw pillows from Walmart or the dollar store. They're fairly inexpensive and many times have cute items. Flea markets and yard sales are also options to find decorating objects at fairly low prices.

Well, I'm not going to actually answer your question but I'll give you some ideas.
Buy some plain storage containers, these can be bought anywhere, and some paint/stickers/stencils/sequins/fabric/glue/anything. Then customize them.
You could also try putting sheets of cork on your walls and pinning photographs, posters, post cards, letters, whatever you like to them.
If there are any markets near you then I suggest you visit them. Pick up big interesting pieces of fabric and turn them into wall hangings or throw them over your bed or tables.
Hang up mobiles, dream catchers, put ornaments and sculptures on shelves, anything.
Over here in England we have shops called Evolution, The Pier and Athena which all sell that kind of thing. Evolution is incredibly cheap but sells a lot of very nice things.
