Go to your local drug store and pick up Pan-Oxyl. It comes in either a soap form or cream. S little pricy but the stuff works miracles and results can easily be seen within days. Hope that helps.

Oh! I'm so sorry to hear about your problem. I had acne a while ago but I got rid of it.

If you have big disgusting cysts, pop them. Pop everyone of them. I know it sounds nasty, but it's the only thing that will work. Once all the pus has been gotten rid of, go to the pharmacy and get Erythromycin Topical Solution. It's an Rx drug only (meaning that it's a prescription drug). Spread it all over your face. Don't wash your face for the rest of the day, don't eat ANY red meat, don't put your face on your hands, and don't expose your face to a lot of oil.

If you have whiteheads or blackheads, follow the instructions above.

If they're not pimples and don't have any pus, follow the instructions above except skip the pimple exploding.

I know this whole process sounds gross, but most natural solutions are kind of weak and don't help very well (trust me; I'm Chinese and my family uses Chinese remedies a lot but natural skin solutions just don't do the job).

I hope this was helpful in any way and that your skin becomes clearer!

I don't agree with Basketball3846. Going out into the sun without protection is never a good idea. Although some people think getting a tan will hide acne, it really just makes it worse. It dries the skin up even more and it eventually gets more irritated, which leads to more breakouts. Talk to your doctor and tell him that your prescription isn't working for you. I'm sure he/she will suggest some alternatives. Many of my friends use Proactiv and swear by it, so maybe you can check that out. Be sure to keep hydrated by drinking plenty of water, and eat right (even though greasy foods do not cause acne.) The single most important thing to do when you have acne is to keep your skin as clean (bacteria free) as possible. Clean your face with a gentle cleanser at least twice a day and follow this basic routine: cleanse, tone, moisturize, treat. Acne, as you know, is a result of clogged pores, so make sure to keep dirt and oil off. For example, don't rest your face onto your hands when you're bored in class, the germs from your hand will transfer onto your skin. Also be sure to wipe off every trace of make-up you might have before you go to bed. NEVER sleep with make-up on. There's much more to take notice of, but these are the basics. I hope I helped. Good luck at your new school!

omg i have great advice for you. i used to have this problem and i felt so insecure. well ask your doctor if you can get a prescription to duac topical gel. its GREAT! it comes in a little tube and what you do is wash your face light with warm water and soap before u go to bed, then apply tiny bits of gel to the acne affected area. it takes a few weeks, but it will probably work when school starts, just use it every night. hope i helped! (oh yeah and it doesnt dry out your skin at all!)

Sure. I had a severe acne problem too when I was in my teens. I was on accutane for about 3 months, but discontinued because I experienced pain, weakness, and I was very close on having suicidal thoughts. Anyway, the point is stay away from accutane. It will do you harm in the longrun, it damages the liver and the glands that produce the body's natural oils. I say stay with the natural stuff. My advice is to try taking a tablespoon of Flaxseed Oil every 12 hours. It is an excellent skin healer and for many it has been know to reduce the production of oil. Try also taking twice a day Acidophilus 1 Billion organisms non-dairy type. It keeps the digestive system balanced with good bacteria. Vitamin C 1000mg a day helps. Zinc 30-50mg daily is another skin healer. Chromium Picolinate 200-400mcg daily reduces skin infections. Tea Tree Oil is known to be just as good as benzoyl peroxide but is less irritable and shows faster results (take a q-tip and dab a little on a large pus filled pimple and watch it disappear!). Drink lots of water. Stay away from soda, greasy foods, and especially dairy products. Get lots of rest and hope for the best! :)

Keep me updated.

** I forgot to mention a very important herb called Milk Thistle that will definitely give you obvious results in a matter of weeks. It basically is a powerful blood & liver cleanser. From a site: "The liver is the body’s second largest organ, which is responsible for detoxifying pollutants and processing nutrients and fats. Another noted benefit is the herb’s ability to reduce inflammation, and may retard skin cell proliferation, a mechanism that can lead to such conditions as psoriasis." Take one capsule twice a day for about a week and see if you notice any results. Make sure you drink lots of water with it. You can buy all this at Target or any large chain like Walmart. I bought my stuff at Target, good prices. **
