If you are seriously considering taking them, I would urge you to consult a reputable doctor first. [ sarcasticgal1221's advice column | Ask sarcasticgal1221 A Question ]
Khrysty answered Friday July 22 2005, 2:03 pm: Diet pills do work, but if you go too much over the line and take a whole lot a day, then you'll start shivering and feeling woosy and it won't be good, you MIGHT even die or get REALLY sick. Go ahead and take the pills just read the directions before you do ANYTHING at all. I hope I helped.:D

XSugarPieX77 answered Friday July 22 2005, 9:56 am: I dont believe in diet pills as many of the others who answered this said as well .I suggest trying to go on a healthy exercising and eating diet. Most diet pills can hurt your body very badly. I'm sure there are certain types out there, but they are perscribed to people. Good Luck!

With that said, if you insist on using a diet pills, these are a few that I've heard good results with:
Note: Prices are from CVS. They may vary depending where you get them from.
Relacore-works by blocking cortisol, the stress hormone, which is believed to cause weight gain in the hips, stomach and thighs-It runs around $30.
Water pills-These go by various names but they all work by helping rid yourself of retained water. They can cause a loss of needed vitamins and minerals (ex: potassium) with extended use so I really wouldn't recommend them-They run about $5-10.
Trim Spa-These work by making your body hotter so it burns more fat as well as decreasing your appetite. Also provides some vitamins and minerals. If you do get this one, make sure to get the ephedra-free formula.-They run about $15-40 depending on which formula you get.
Metabolife Ultra-This is a mostly herbal diet pill that works by decreasing your appetite and
helping boost your metabolism. I've taken them myself before and they do work. However, the appetite suppressant worked so well on me that I had to force myself to eat so be careful.-They run about $30-40.
Dexatrim-Basically an appetite suppresant.-They run about $7-25 depending on which formula you get.
TwinLab Diet Fuel-An herbal diet pill that helps control appetite and burn fat.-$20
Apple Cider Vinegar Tablets-I've heard these work but haven't tried them.-$11
Green Tea Tablets-I've also heard these work good but haven't tried them.-$7
Starch or carb blockers-These basically are supposed to break down starches fast. Usually goes along with the Atkins or Starch Blaster diets.-$20 and up depending on brand and formula. [ ncblondie's advice column | Ask ncblondie A Question ]
