Hello. I need your help desperately. I'm a female and I hate the summer because I sweat like crazy. As a result of this, I get massive sweat stains under my arms. This makes me extremely self-conscious. I usually put on tons of deodorant with anti-perspirant in it to stop me from sweatting so much, but it doesn't help. I get really embarassed because of it, and now I only wear darker colored shirts because you can't see them as bad. What do I do?! :-( Thank you so much for your help.

Medications and specially formulated prescription anti-perspirants may help. Also try drinking lots of water. Sweat is your body ridding itself of toxins and wastes. By drinking lots of water, you're helping flush your body which may decrease the amount of sweat. [ ncblondie's advice column | Ask ncblondie A Question ]
Karen answered Wednesday July 20 2005, 4:15 pm: Try using Certain Dri. It's the strongest, anti-perspirant deoderant that's over-the-counter and it closes up your sweat pores, making you not sweat. You only use it once a day and you'll see results in a day or two. You can buy it for less than $10.00 at your local pharmacy but it's worth every penny. You can then put a solid powder deoderant over it. [ Karen's advice column | Ask Karen A Question ]
XoxBroKeNxoX answered Wednesday July 20 2005, 3:47 pm: Okay you can use this deoderant called "Certain-Dri", or go to the dermatologist, the derm will most likely give you a deoderant called "Dry-sol" that will work wonders. If you have problems making appointments with the derm for some weird reason you can order it here: [Link](Mouse over link to see full location)

depending on how old you are there are things that can be done, i saw on a cosmetic surgery program that a lady had problems with underarm sweating and she had botox on her armpits which really helped her. [ chakra's advice column | Ask chakra A Question ]
