Firstly, do you bath very seldom or do you get very dirty during the day (maybe from work/school/traffic)? If not then it sounds to me like it is old skin coming off. The same thing happens when you sit in a sauna and rub your skin.
You could either take a quick shower before you bath (as we do in Sweden cause we don't like lying in our own dirty water) or maybe your bath water is too hot.
Good luck and let us know how you get on! ]
Yes this is normal
dead skin cells come off very easily..it may be different for differnent people but you dont have to worry
everything is good lol

Yes, that's perfectly normal. The skin coming off is dead skin; your body is more readily able to exfoliate dead skin when it's wet or waterlogged. The dirt isn't necessarily all from you, it's probably a combination of the dirt already inside the tub, and other little grimy things in the bathroom.;) Don't worry, you're still getting squeaky clean :)

okay my lil step sister has had this happen she thought something was wrong but we found out it was the lotion coming off her.. she puts on the lotion thats really hard to get off.. so it could be that if you wear lotion.. but i would suggest if its not that then go to the doctors or something.. ♥ Dez ]
It's just dead skin. Unless you stay in for hours, but even then I don't know as I've only ever soaked for an hour.
It's dead skin, sweat, and dirt. If you like to soak, I would suggest doing baths the way the Japanese do - wash, rinse, then enter the bath. The only difference would be shower, rinse, draw a bath, and soak.
Besides the exfoliating soap, they make other things to replace wash-cloths. One of them is something I don't know the name for, but it's a poofy thing made from a net-like material (there's one in the picture here: [Link](Mouse over link to see full location)). There are also exfoliating cloths and gloves. ]
Ha. Okay, I get it now. Skin is supposed to shed, it's normal. But don't just sit in the tub. You have to take a washcloth or sponge, rub soap all over it and scrub every part of your body.
No, definitely didn't steal the answer. But atfirst I thought you meant that your skin was actually falling off in the water. O.O ]
It may be dead skin. So don't worry to much.
If it bugs you, buy a bar of exfoliating soap. It should clear away the dead skin. ]
I wouldn't say that it's normal, unless you've been out working in a field all day.
But then why would you just sit in the bath waiting for the dirt to fall off??
Try being a bit more pro-active and use a brush or sponge along with a nice soapy bubble bath.
Hope this help. ]
i would say yes this is normal.. your skin sheds too wether your in the waer or not..if your worried about it then just dont stay in the water soo long or jsut take a shower..and with the gritty stuff on the tub its your skin and oil from your skin and etc... ]
No its normal, your dry skin is just coming off, so keep taking baths because it is good to get all of that dry dead skin of.

Yup on every bath tub you get dirt on the side, alot of clenaig products now specilivze for that, and yes its normal for your skin to "rub of" its just dead skin. Its COMPLETELY normal!
Like I said tho if you want to get ri of the dirt on the side just go to the cleaning section of any store and they have soaps nad stuff.
Hope I helped

It's natural for your skin to shed. It may look like dirt, and some may be, but it's usually just the dead skin cells in the water. New skin cells are created every day and that's the body's way of getting rid of the old.
A gentle exfoliating wash once a week will help keep your skin fresh and glowing. Just look for it in the bath section of your store. ]
thats normal for your skin to rub off babe!! my lil sister worried about that too, dont worry!! ]
Hun, it all depends. How should *WE* know how dirty *YOU* are, ya know??? We couldn't possibly. It's none of our business to begin with. Do you shower often?? Showers should be taken daily. It's fine for your skin to "rub off"; it's just old, dead skin cells; everyone has them, and it happens to everyone. It's perfectly "normal" - you have NOTHING to worrie about.. ]
