Good CDs

Question Posted Monday July 11 2005, 2:05 pm

Hmm, this is kind of random, but I'm not sure what CD I should buy next. I like classic rock mainly, like Pink Floyd.
Any ideas?

If you like Pink Floyd buy The Wall if you don't already have it.It's a little on the expensive side since it's two disk but it's worth it.If you don't feel like spending around $34 for a CD then get Meddle or Wish You Were Here. Those are also two very good Pink Floyd albums.

Someone else here mentioned The Alan Parsons Project and if you like Floyd then that'd be a good bet, but I'm gonna go ahead and recommend 'Grace' by Jeff Buckley, just because I think its awesome and everyone should own it.

I'd suggest, Nirvana, Metallica (Their older stuff), AC/DC, Led Zepplin, Guns 'N Roses. EDIT: Nirvana CD's - "Unplugged In New York", "Nevermind", "Incesticide". Metallica CD's - "Reload", "Kill 'Em All", "Garage Inc.", "Ride The Lighting", "Metallica (The Black Album)" (Probably one of the best CD's Metallica has ever made). AC/DC CD's - "AC/DC Live: Special Collector's Edition", "Back In Black". Led Zepplin CD's - "Remasters". (Great CD. I'd highly suggest this one.) Guns 'N Roses CD's - "Live Era '87-'93", Appetite For Destruction (Awesome CD; a must get!).

I find it funny how you say you like Pink Floyd - yet people suggest a bunch of alternative, metal and such. Floyd is a rockish-psychadellia folks.

I strongly recommend that you check out The Alan Parsons Project, its quite similar to Floyd - they are pre-floyd, and they produced Dark Side of the Moon.

If you like Floyd you will probably like it.

♥Classic rock is good stuff. If you like the Pink Floyd kind of sound, I would suggest buying these CD's: Rage Against The Machine, Led Zeppelin, Nirvana, AC/DC, The Deftones (a little harder rock), The Beatles, The Cure, Metallica, etc. Hope you like some of these.
