how do you know if that one friend is that one true "best friend" that will stick with you for life, thru all the bad and good times. i cant really explain what i mean by that one best friend but i think you might be able to get what i mean. thanks

A best friend should stay with you all the time not be running off to do something else. You should be able to talk to them about anything without being worried about what they will say or if they will laugh at you. A best friend shouldnt compete to be better than you or make you feel bad.

A best friend will be there for you no matter what. Even if you get angry with eachother you will always figure out how to fix things back to normal. A best friend is the person who you feel emotionally closest to, and can imagine being friends with them for your whole life.
A best friend knows you very well, and can always tell when something isn't right.

true friends are when they stay with you through anything, if you screw up, they will understand. if you make a huuge mistake and everyone hates you, they should stick with you. and if they dont and say "i never want to be friends again" then they are not your best friend. the saying goes.. " good friend will help you up when you fall down, but a best friend will laugh and trip you again" hope that helps!

well their is really know way and its hard to find that one true best friend. I thought i had a while ago but it turns out no. So be carful about who you trust. Even though they might seem to be your truest friend theres a 2nd side to everyone im not saying its impossible but just be careful.

well you can kinda just tell that they are a true friend when their there for you through the thick and the thin times ... i kno how you feel when it comes to true best friends and cant tell if they are actually true to you well i hope that i helped with what i told you

well give them a test put yourself in a bad situation and c if they help. Sike dats the worst thing to do. that could ruin your relationship. a good good friend is someone whos been with you thru the worst. look bac at somethings that you have thru and see if it holds up.

You just know, You may not know for a while but I think when do have that friend you'll know.
To be honest with you, I don't have a best friend...I've never had one. I've often wondered if I ever would. I think that friends are great and I would love a best friend forever but sometimes it takes forever to get a forever friend. It most probably won't be all good times either, friends take work and probably some minor fights here and there but you will know when you have a true friend.

You might not know at first. I didn't. Some things started happening in my life... and I didn't know who I could tell and who I couldn't. The people who realized something was wrong with me, they were my true friends. You know, you don't have to have one best friend. I still haven't found my one best friend, because I have 4. One guy, 3 girls. You just realize who's there and who isn't there... then you will know, who the friends are. Just because you get into arguments/fights... you don't just end the friendship. If you all can see past the argument and work it out, obviously that's a true friend. Both of you all are good friends. There's lots of ways to see who is your true/best friends and who isn't. You'll find it, trust me =) Even if you can't have one... it's always better to have more than just one best friend.

a true friend is someone who will back you up no matter what happens in your life. 4 example i was going through a lot in one point in my life and like everyone was turning there backs on me and i had thet ONE friend that i didnt think was the best of my friends stick with me and helped me get through all of it. i dont if i helped you out but i hope i did.

This is kind of a hard question to answer. I'm not really shore how to tell you HOW you will know, you understand? But I DEFINITELY DO know what you mean by that one true best friend. I have found mine. I've known her since I was 7, and ten years later.. we're STILL inseparable. I guess the only way to know if that person will be there for you through thick and thin is to be put IN that situation, and seeing their reaction, ya know? However you must understand that hardly ANY relationship is ever without at least A LITTLE BIT of SOME type of hurt...
I'm sorrie if this doesn't answer your question; it's kind of an untouchable subject matter.... Hopefully ANY part of this has meant something to you. :)
