hair help?
Ok, so my hair is really REALLY dark brown and i was wondering -- do yall think if i got like, auburn highlights -- would it look good?
i need suggestions -- because i dont like how dark my hair is now -- its almost black! and i want to change it up a lil bit

because your hair is so dark i the first time you get your hair highlighted tell the person doing your hair to do the color a few shades lighter than your hair color, then the next time ou go to get your hair re-done tell the person doing your hair to do the highlights a few shades lighter than the last time you got your highlights done it will make your hair lighter but not to light

I would just go for blonde highlights just don't make it look like its too much like thin highlights don't pick huge chunky ones

omgosh i think your hair would look wonderful with auburn highlights! if you dont like you hair that dark you could always get in dyed to a lighter brown color and get the highlights that would look good!!

My friend has really dark brown hair too, and what she did was get a whole lot of highlights in different shades- she has a couple of black lowlights, some blonde highlights, and a bunch of auburn ones in the front, and it looks great.
If you just get the auburn highlights, it might stand out too much, and look too artificial...the purpose of highlights is to make your face look sunkissed and your hair to look healthy, not to make it look like you have highlights. For really dark brown hair I would suggest maybe going a few shades lighter than your hair color to highlight, instead of going far away from it- I would REALLY suggest though to try my friend's look, because it's very pretty and chic.

I looked at your myspace and I think the auburn highlights would look cute. or you could die all of your hair a lighter color but either one would look good.

well if your hair is almost black then you prolly don't want to get auburn highlights i would suggest blonde ;)

aww well yur really pretty. uhm..well i think auburn highlights will look good only if they arent chunky. if you make them look natural and small then yes they will look awesome. good luck hope you like it=D

Get thin all-over highlights-- make it look natural... as long as it's not a bright auburn color, you should be fine.

yes, i think it would look good. Make sure you don't get like blonde ones cuz that is too light and you don't want real dark ones either. I think auburn is perfect and it would look especially cute if you got those two lil strands in the front done. Hope I helped! :)

hey.. i saw your pictures. my best friend's hair is just like yours.. practically blacK ! she qot auburnDark red hiqhliqhts & it looked amazinq !! you should deffinetly do it. make sure not to do to thick or to thin hiqhliqhts because it will look more fake. qood luck & hope i helped ♥

yeahh of course it would look good.. yeahh i think auburn highlights are good.. anything in the light brown sorta family.. like warm colors would be great! definately, go for it!

It'll probably look good and you can always ask a hair stylist for what other colors would go with your hair color, besides auburn.
