u cant change the name but you can change like spacing or capitalization. for that go to My Aim at the top of yur buddy list, then EDIT OPTIONS, next FORMAT SCREEN NAME! if u want a completely NEW screen name, go to www.aim.com or www.aol.com nd search "aim". they have like everything i said to you nd a LOT more.

Ok well say your name is *imbuddy123* and u wanna capitalize some of the letters or something to make it *ImBuDdY123* then go to MY AIM, then go down to EDIT OPTIONS. then youll see something that says FORMAT SCREENNAME then type in EXACTLY how you wish your screenname will look like. and TA DA! formatted sn. Another thing, if you want a new screenname then sign on to AIM but dont put on any screenname, just stya on the opnening thing where you see all the sns at. The click GET A NEW SCREENNAME and voila! You can mkae your screenname, just fill out all the fields and the boring stuff.I hope i could help!
Ps. If you have a bug buddy list or dont want to add everyone manually, sign on to your old sn and go to MY AIM and click SAVE BUDDY LIST then savei t under something youll remember. Next switch over to your new sn and and go to MY AIM but this time go to LOAD BUDDY LIST, find the name you saved in under and everything you had before will show up now. ok just go to the *sign on* window, and under you sn there's a link that says *get a screen name* click it, and follow the steps. then there you go! but it's always a hassel to type in EVERY single buddy to your new buddy list. so get on your old sn, go to *my aim* at the top of the box and blick on *manage linked screen names* then link your old sn with your new sn. then sign off and sign back on. then go to *people* at the top of the box and click *send buddy list* since you're old and new sn's are linked and your logged in twice, simply send the buddy list to yourself and there ya go!

on yur sign on screen it says "Get new screenname" click there and the it brings up the page where you type in what you want.

Ok, it's really simple. herez the step by step how to do it.
1. Open your browser, type in www.aim.com
2. Look on the left hand side of the page once it shows up, scroll down, you'll see "Get Help!"
3. Click, "Starting Out"
4. Then click, "Screenames"
5. Then click the 2nd question on the list, "Can I have More Then One Aim Screename"
6. Click the link.

But to change the LOOK of it.. go to:
- MY AIM
- EDIT OPTIONS
- FORMAT SCREEN NAME

to completely change it, you go to the sign on window and go to "get a sn" and then follow the steps. to just change the format (i.e. supergirl34 to SuPeRgIrL 34) go to "my aim" (on the buddy list) then to "edit options"->"format sn" then type in what you want to change it to. hope this helps!<3

um go 2 aim .com and click make a new sn

you go to www.aim.com and you go to the bottom to *starting out* and you click on it. then you click on *screen names* then you go to *how do i get an aim screen name?* and click on it. then it says *how do i create an aim screen name*click here* and you click there. it will bring you to wat your looking for. you type everything in and you hav a new sn.

Well, you can format your screen name, as in puttin spaces and capitalizing letters by going to 'My AIM' on your buddy list, then hover to 'Edit Options', and then to 'Format Screen Name'.
Or if you meant to get a new screen name, on your sign on window before you sign onto your screen name, you can click on 'Get a Screen Name' and you can make a new screen name.
