For my school it's just jumps, and loudness. and you have to have a good attitude. They Dont Look For Much Like The Round Offs Or Anything, Like Tumbling. But if You Try Out For Varsity You Have To Make Up A Small Sideline Cheer. Thats All For My School, But It's Differant Everywhere, If You Know Anyone Who Cheered Before Ask Them How Ur School Does It<33

It depends on what level you're trying out for. If you want to make varsity, you may have to have a back handspring or atleast a back walkover. But that also depends on the coach. If you're just trying out for JV, then you should be able to do splits and cartwheels, and you should be able to learn cheers really easily. Practice some cheers you know before tryouts to get your voice warmed up. They're always looking for girls who have loud, deep voices. Work on your jumps too (pike, toe touch and right herkies.) Girls who have high jumps always impress coaches. Good luck!
