twistedteen25 answered Thursday June 30 2005, 7:21 pm: I sometimes do that but not a lot but instead of useing listerine mouthwash I put 2 pinches of salt and mix it with a cup of water and drink it.
It helps your gums (inside your mouth)after drink some more water to get the salt taste out of your mouth.
PS for the saltwater you should drink the whole thing.
hope I helped [ twistedteen25's advice column | Ask twistedteen25 A Question ]
juliaNna answered Wednesday June 29 2005, 12:25 pm: yes, it does work. but i would suggest using whitening strips, toothpastes, etc. because they work better, you dont have to use them as often as once a month, and they taste better :)
Michelley answered Wednesday June 29 2005, 11:43 am: I've heard that but it sounds nasty. just try a whitening tooth paste or white strips (*you only have to do them once a year and they really work!)

passionate answered Wednesday June 29 2005, 10:09 am: I pretty sure its not salt that whitens your teeth its baking soda. But maybe salt works too.
amazingadvice409 answered Wednesday June 29 2005, 9:20 am: i dont know about that but i no if you brush with baking soda and peroxide for a month it will lighten your teeth alott
xxxxxx answered Wednesday June 29 2005, 9:06 am: That's the old fashioned way. My grandmom and my mom used to do it. They said it helped whiten their teeth, but with all the new white strips and whiteners, salt isn't as good compared to them! But still try! [ xxxxxx's advice column | Ask xxxxxx A Question ]
