TheHeadHonchoPoncho57 answered Tuesday June 28 2005, 6:50 pm: You have dyslexia. That's where your mind reads things backward or flipped and you have trouble with all of the things you mentioned. You also might have trouble reading notes in music. Some people like Orlando Bloom get their words mixed up, or you might lose focus sometimes. It's very common. It doesn't mean your not smart. It can be genetic. You just have to work a little harder, that's all. [ TheHeadHonchoPoncho57's advice column | Ask TheHeadHonchoPoncho57 A Question ]

Its a learning disability that you can get help for and you will eventualy learn to overcome it. You may always sometimes see a d as a b because dyslexica never goes away, theres no magic medicine to cure it. Having special assistance when reading will help make it easier.

X0C0URT answered Tuesday June 28 2005, 4:22 pm: It seems to me like you may have dyslexia. I'm not a professional so I can't tell you for sure, but you should see a specialist to get it figured out. Dyslexia is a learning disease that makes you see letters wrong or backwards.

mushoku answered Tuesday June 28 2005, 1:14 pm: dyslexia. It's fairly common. You should talk to your school counselor about it so that you get the right kind of academic aid as it is (rightly) considered a learning disability. [ mushoku's advice column | Ask mushoku A Question ]
X_Amanda_X answered Tuesday June 28 2005, 12:58 pm: It sounds like you are dislexic(sorry I'm not sure if I spelled that right) Don't feel bad though, tons of people are dislexic. You should probably visit an eye doctor and see what heshe says.
sundevilette answered Tuesday June 28 2005, 12:57 pm: I'm a speech and hearing science major at ASU. I'm studying to be a speech pathologist so we learn about situations like this all the time. What may be happing is you could possbily be suffering from something called dyslexia. It's nothing to be concerned about. Basically people with dyslexia have trouble with reversing words, writing letters back to front, not being able to remember the sequence of letters in a word or sometimes reading from right to left. This may not be you but I suggest you speak to your parents about this issue because sometimes it can keep you behind in school. Talk to your parents about seeing a doctor about the situation and ask if seeing a speech pathologist may be necessary. Once you see a speech pathologist I guarantee they will help you fix this in no time! I hope I've helped out!

dyslexia is a disorder where you do what you described. all it does is slow down reading&writing speeds. sometimes its frustrating, but you can get tutors&stuff like that.
hope i helped! [ luckycharm's advice column | Ask luckycharm A Question ]

FrEe2bMe answered Tuesday June 28 2005, 12:52 pm: Well, from the information given it sounds like you have something called Dyslexia. There are tons and tons of people that have this, so don't feel alone. There are some people who even read from right to left instead of left to right. The best thing for you to do is to tell your parents about this as soon as possible so they can get you tested for it for sure, and then that the necessary actions to improve your reading/writing/and comprehending skills. Dyslexia does not make you any dumber or smarter. One of my really good friends has it and she is in all AP classes. Another thing to keep in mind is that sometimes if you have been doing homework or readijng or something of that nature for a long time you get more tired which causes the dyslexia to flare up more. Now with all that said, if you tell your parents, and get tested, then there is a very slim chance that this problem may be due to an eye condition. But I really think it's Dyslexia. Best of luck. :) [ FrEe2bMe's advice column | Ask FrEe2bMe A Question ]
