old best friend
i had this best friend named ryley when i was about 5 years old years old!! we lived next door to me and we did EVERYTHING together!but then when i was 8 he moved and i never saw him again and now i am really starting to miss him. My boyfriend goes to his church and a few weeks ago he said his best friend ryley from church asked if he knew me!he said yes and ryley told him we used to be best friends!now i really want to call him since i know now that he remembers me! but i dont know what i would say!i sure did change alot from when i was 8 til now im 14.i dont even know if he cares or wants to talk to me..what should i do?

Of course he cares! He wouldn't have asked your boyfriend if he didn't. He probably misses you just as much as you miss him. See if the three of you (you, Ryley, and your boyfriend) can hang out together. Try going to a movie (that way you can get used to each other without having to talk) or a restaurant. As for talking, try remembering some of the good times you guys had. Or ask him how schools going. I know it sounds lame, but it'll make him feel more comfortable too.

I think he must remember having fun with you or he wouldn't have mentioned it! By all means get in touch with him and let him know what has happened with you. Have your boyfriend see if he has an email address and write a long letter for starters to break the ice. Then just call or talk to him somehow. How great it is that you found an old friend again. That just doesn't happen everyday! :)

unless the last thing you said to him was hateful, he will want to talk to you. Tell your boyfriend to tell Ryley that you want his phone number, unless you already have it. If you already have it or you are going to get it, you need to tell him who it is and ask if he remembers you. Then, he'll probably ask "How have you been?" or something and the conversation starts. Tell him more about you. Tell him how you've changed. Make plans with him but make sure you kinda... include that boyfriend of yours so he doesn't get jealous. LOL. Well, you can make plans with him like... going to the mall or the movies or the swimming pool or something fun so yall can get a chance to know each other because 6 years of not seeing someone is a long time. You need to mae a good impression on him so he won't... NOT like you anymore. I think you'll be fine!

I think that you should definately call him!! What's there to lose?!?! It's great reuniting with old friends!! He probably is thinking the same thing. I would say just call him and I am sure once ya'll start to talking, ya'll won't stop!! There's 6 years of stuff that ya'll need ta catch up on!! Don't waste anymore time!! lol

you never know till you try maybe you would want your bf on the line on three way cuz they know eachother and you can just talk to him about normal stuff he obviously wants to talk to you if he asked someone about you so i think you should do it!

If you really and truly want to reaquaint yourself with Ryley, then I say call him. I'm not saying go and do everthing at once, you should take things slow. Tell him that you want to talk sometime so that you two can mend the rift that 4 years has torn apart. You haven't seen each other for a long time, treat him as you would a person you know, but not very well. After all, 4 years is a long time to change and you don't know him as well as you used to.
