DO NOT GO ON A LOW CARD DIET! its really not a good idea..i went to a soccer camp and it had a nutrition class one day and carbs actually happen to be the best things for you! if you are really concious about your body and staying healthy than for a snack instead of eating a piece of cake or cookies grab a piece of celery it has no fat in it at all and it is very healthy! you also NEED carbs..they are what keeps you moving they are your main energy source and make sure to eat meats and stuff cause that is protien and your body needs that! Going on a diet doesn't mean you cant eat normal foods it just about not eating the little unhealthy snacks in the middle...with your main meals try eating dark green lettuce [with dinner] and any other time try and eat like a yogurt or a piece of fruit [with lunch or breakfast] this should REALLY HELP! i hope i helped you!

NOOO please, trust me..DO NOT go on a low carb diet. Yeah, they work its horrible for your body. If you don't get enough carbs, it can effect your energy level and your brath. I was on a low carb diet for a while, it works but after a while you just cant do it and you binge on carbs, and yuo gain double all your weightback...thats what happened to me..def. do not go on a low carb diet is all i can say.

My parents are on low carb diets too. You'll want to avoid things like bread, pasta, and potatoes (three of my favorite foods). However, there is a new study that dairy helps you lose pounds faster. If that's what you're aiming for, it might be better to go for a balanced diet, not a low carb diet. But don't forget: a good diet isn't all that's necessary. I know you've probably heard it a hundred times, but excercise is very important too. Thirty minutes on the tredmill won't only keep those extra pounds off, but it gives you strength and energy.

You can eat complex carbs which are vegetables, and whole grain breads or cereals. Basically what your supposed to avoid on a low carb diet is the white stuff, white bread, white rice, white pasta, and white sugar, which included chocolate, because it has white sugar in it. So That means no baked goods, no cookies, no candy, no soda, And it's also best to avoid high fat food like fried food, chips, cheese. And choose low fat or no fat dairy products.

*i would recommend south beach diet over the atkin's diet! :) (south beach is a long-term diet and its low carb/high fiber)

good fats- nuts (almond, walnuts, pecans), avacados, virgin olive oil, whole wheat anything (pasta, pizza)

avoid- white bread, potatoes, regular pasta/pizza, bananas, anything w/ tons of yucky fat (cookies, cakes, etc)

good luck!- :)
