I know peanuts, beans, and eggs contain a lot of protein. You might also want to contact your doctor to make sure you get all the nutrition you need because if not you may need to buy vitamins to take since you don`t get it from the foods you avoid. Good luck!

Hey sweetheart

w0w i think its a great idea that you recently became a vegitarian. More people should try it. Vegetarians also have lower rates of illness and death from a number of degenerative diseases. which is great. so tell your mother not to worry.

anyhow i went on google and found some sites with some important info ..

There are three main types of vegetarianism. These are:

Lacto-ovo vegetarians - people who avoid meat, but include dairy foods (such as milk and eggs) and plant foods.

Lacto-vegetarians - people who avoid meat and eggs, but include dairy foods and plant foods.

Vegans - people who consume only plant foods.

so from this and what you had wrote i guess your a Lacto-ovo vegetarian.

Some good plant sources of protein include:

Legumes, such as beans, peas and lentils
Nuts
Seeds
Soy products, including tempeh and tofu
Whole (cereal) grains.

It is recommended that vegetarians eat legumes and nuts daily, along with wholegrain cereals, to ensure adequate nutrient intakes.

well i hope i helped

good luck

RBfootballTD answered Thursday June 16 2005, 7:32 pm:
yes, there are, i can not think of any off the bat right now, but another route is protien drinks...i drink them to help me gain weight for football (dont worry, you have to drink them a certain way for that to happen, i have to drink them before and after i got lifting then before i go to bed at night) and all it is, is a powder that they tell you to put water (i put milk) with and you mix it up, and it doesnt taste all that bad...so if you are that worried about it, go out and get one of those, they sell them pretty much anywhere...

You can try eggs and beans. They are both very high in protein. Also fish contains alot of protein, but I'm not sure if you're the kind of vegitarian that won't eat sea food. There are also vitimins you can take that have protein so you can get a full amount of protein for yourself. They work really good too. Good luck with everything.
