I know how it is. You can chew any gum as long as you are REALLY careful about it. And you can have any food just not something really crunchy, they'll mess up your braces.

Hey ...
I have braces to you can have sugar free gum but bubble gum can stick to your braces alot !! you can eat about all the food that you have eatin b4 when u didnt have braces.Just not like hard hard candy coz it can make a brace come loose and it can make the cement come off.

okay well.. you can chew gum, but its the sugar free gum thats probably the best because ones that arent sugar free ((like bubble gum)) tend to stick and get stuck alot more.. but food wise.. you can basically eat the same things, its not really a whole lot different once you get used to it.. just a lot more food in your teeth.. haha have fun with them<3

well braces you can chew basic gum but bubble gum is too chewy and will break a bracket really easy i had braces and ate everything that was bad but you should only do chewing gum or youll break your bracket and i dont think your parents would be very happy about that.

when i had braces i had bubble gum and i ate everything i eat today. if you like corn on the cob you have to cut the corn off so they dont get stuck. make sure there is nothing in your teeth when you talk because it is kind of eww-y

go for it. dont stop eating your favorite food just because you have braces. i went for three years with braces eating what ever i wanted and a bracket only came out once because i was chewing on a waerbottle cap. lol. but some food, like strawberrys, spinach and salad get stuck in you braces. very imbaressing! ask your friends from time to time if you have any food stuck in you braces, they'll help you out.

Yes, only chew sugarless gum. Also don't eat popcorn and anything really hard, especially after they are adjusted.
