i pulled a muscle in my stomach yesterday (or so i think) by doing a back-tuck off of a diving board into a pool. after i threw the tuck it hurt really bad in the side of my stomach so i thought i pulled something. today at cheer/tumbling i couldn't throw tucks or even back-handsprings b/c it hurt so bad and then towards the end i couldn't even do round-offs. so i told the instructor and he let me leave early. is there anything i can do to make it feel better like put heat on it? it's on the left side of my stomach under my ribs... thanks so much

Try those Thermacare patches. Put those on and try to rest a little bit. It should be better the next day.

Wait until she's comfortable. Maybe ask her sometime during the school year. Try saying, "You know, I've been thinking about us." Tell her you really like her. That should start a conversation about you guys.

You really shouldn't pick at it. When you pick at one everything inside it spreads, causing more to breakout. Try washing it. And next time, wash, don't pick.

Ok my teeth weren't that screwed but I got braces anyway for a cosmetic reason..anyway, I only get them on for 5 months..it's been 2 months and I don't notice any difference..is this normal or is it just a waste of time..please tell me when I should notice a difference!

Even if you can't see a difference, they are working. Your orthodontist (or dentist) will notice a difference. I've have had my braces on for almost a year and it doesn't look different, but it is.

I know how it is. You can chew any gum as long as you are REALLY careful about it. And you can have any food just not something really crunchy, they'll mess up your braces.

I am going on a field trip tomorrow with my fellow freshman classmates and I'm a bit self concious about something. You see, we are going to a theme Park (Dorney Park... It's in NJ. Sort of like 6 Flags) anyway, they have a water park and I am going to be wearing a bikini. I'm a bit self concious about my back. I have a few pimples on my back- not big ones but they are very red and noticeable. My hair since it is long covers up a few of the pimples but I'm still a little nervous about going out in public like that. I've always been covered. I've tried a few acne medications on my back and nothing seems to work. Does anyone have a way of covering them more or helping me so that I am not as self concious about it? Any help would be appreciated.

I have the same problem. Simply wash your back everytime you are in the shower with a cleanser. Don't space out when your in the shower...most people do that and then they forget to wash their backs.

I want to take up a babysitting job for extra cash but, i dont know the neighbors that just moved in and thats the ones whos baby i want to sit, and my dad doesnt get home from work till 5:00 and i want to babysit!
should i meet the neighbors and babysit till my dad comes home or should i ask my dad and risk not being able to do it?

If you want to do this, talk to your dad first. Get his go ahead than walk over to your neighbors and introduce yourself...gradually turn the subject to babysitting and then ask if they need one.

This year, i got put into the earliest lunch period at school- i eat lunch at 10:30 am. because of this, i stopped eating breakfast, so that i'm hungry at lunch. but then, since i eat so early, i am starving my the time school is out. by dinner, i'm not very hungry, and i get hungry around 930ish. i hate my eating schedule- its so screwed up and i know it can't be good for my body. any ideas?

Eat something small for breakfast...then have a regular lunch. After school eat something small and then have a regular dinner. It will take a while for your body to adjust to the change.

What I've found to work is that if you subsitute one soda with a glass of water everyday, you will loose at least one pound every month.

Back in January like January 10th, I met this guy, his name was dominique. Right away I fell in love with him. The way he looked, his smile, just everything about him was perfect. I nicknamed him oreo, this is because he acts white when he is black. I was his baby-d. Gah, I loved that boy to death. I just thought the world of him. There was nuttin I wouldn`t do for him. I would go to the moon and back just for him. He lived a 1 hour away from me,but did that stop me "No Way". I would always find a way to go see him. I mean he was the love of my life. I have dated other guyz before, but none like him. There was just sumthing special about him. I just couldn`t put my foot on it. We would stay up late at night talking on the telephone till 4 or 5 in the morning, even on school nights. We wnet out for a month and broke up. I was staying at a friends house the night of our breakup and boy did i cry all night long. I actually neva have eva stopped crying over him. Well anyways The strange thing is that I nva expected this to happen. That morning we were had just been talking on the phone for 2 hours and everything was fine. Well anyways after we broke up I tried to move on, but I couldn`t it was to hard. I would go out with guyz and I would always brake up with them the very next day. I cried for him in the morning when I woke up. I would hear a song on the radio that reminded me of him. I would pray at night and cry for him. I still do this tooo! Back in march he im me, and he told me sorry for all the pain I have cause you. He told me he wanted to be friends with me. So I accepted it. my friend ((chrissy)) likes a boy ((jack)) that her best friend ((kelly)) just got dumped by. jack likes going for girls that are easy and right now he likes a girl that he asked out before kelly. the other girl said no but they both still hang out. he's gone out with a lot of people chrissy knows but they still talk pretty much everyday. chrissy's not easy so what should she do? she doesn't want to hurt kelly's feelings either.

I have liked this guy since I was in third grade, (I'm in tenth now) and he told all of my friends that he liked me too. But when my friends told him that he should ask me out, (with out me knowing so i was like incredibly embarresd) he said he wasnt alowwed to date yet. You can wait a little bit longer. When you turn 16 and you still haven't had your period yet, talk to a doctor about it. It depends on your body type. Skinny girls tend to have their periods later. If you are really worried then go ahead and see a doctor.
