i have a question me and this guy are going out and like his family like his parents like arent the fondest of me like she is holding something against me. see me and this other guy went to prom together and the guy im going out with now is obviously pretty bummed about this so his mom is constantly holding this against me and just wont gimmie a 2nd chance! So i plan on writing her a letter. I need some help on what to say to her. Like explaining why i did go. I went because he proved 2 me it was so important and that he wanted to go with me. Well this guys mom (my bf) is obviously protecting her "little baby boy"... well trying. but i cant tell her why i wanted cuz she'd hate me more. So please help!

just tell her that your not a slut or trying to be mean, tell her why you like him & that your not just looking for some sort of "one night stand". just tell her the truth in why you like him... or you can lie a little... but if its for a good reason & you really like this guy, a white lie wont hurt
girlygirl answered Wednesday May 25 2005, 11:03 am: Definitely don't write her a letter. She's being a little petty, but you being the GF and writing her will only make it worse. If you and your bf are good together, eventually she'll see that. [ girlygirl's advice column | Ask girlygirl A Question ]

Not a good idea to be dating one guy and going to prom with another. Prom is usually considered a pretty big deal. Mom is just responding to her son being hurt...a pretty normal reaction.
If he has forgiven you for going out with another guy then she really should too. But, writing a note to her isn't going to help any. It may even make matters worse. If you continue to date her son she will probably eventually forget about. :) [ karenR's advice column | Ask karenR A Question ]
Kr4z3y_Ch3lly answered Tuesday May 24 2005, 11:33 pm: well babe, personally id do it in person..rather doing it by sending a letter it just looks better on your part but if you really want to send a letter and not talk to her in person then i guess you could do it.. if you went with the other guy to prom cause you have feelings for him then you shouldnt be with your bf. but if you dont have any feelings for him and your in love with your bf tell her that! also tell her that your bf could have gone with someone else. tell her you would have rather gone with your bf but prom ment so much to that other guy..but if you turned down your bf just to go with the other guy. then i can understand why shed be mad..but just tell her how much your bf means to you and that your sorry for what ever happend..tell her that you feel like shes holding a grudge and that you dont want that cause you care for them so much! good luck babe!
Sporkster answered Friday May 20 2005, 6:34 pm: Just don't bother with what she thinks. That's her problem, not yours, if she has a grudge against you. Although a good relationship with his parents would be nice, it's not a required point in a relationship with your boyfriend. If she says anything bad or acts rude to you, just ignore. She'll get over it in time.
