Coping with women

Question Posted Wednesday May 11 2005, 10:48 pm

how do you know if a girl is lying to you like when you ask them out and they say something. How do you know if they are telling the truth or lying to make you feel better??

Unless the girl is an amazing actress, if she's lying to you, then most likely whatever she said will sound a little off, or practiced.

When girls get asked out...if they say no, usually, they will give you a reason (which some girls make up, or steal from someone else)... then they will say you're a nice guy and that they're sorry. This is a difficult thing to do.. as most girls seriously don't want to hurt your feelings. So, some will lie. It really depends more on the type of girl and the circumstances... so I don't know if I really helped you..

asking them out like "will you go out with me?" or asking them out on a date? if they make an excuse on why they cant go out on a date with you then almost immediatly say "ok well how about next saturday instead" if they have another excuse try one more time, if she still has an excuse shes lying to make you feel better. you really should go out on at least one date before officialy asking her to be your gf, but if thats what your doing 9/10 any excuse they tell you is a lie to make you feel better.

They wont make direct eye contact.

If they look to the left. Its an excuse

If they look to the right. They dont like you at all and you should leave them alone immediatly.

If they turn their head left, they're going out with someone.

If they turn their heads right, they're going out wiht a black guy.

If they turn their heads left and look around, they're trying to fidn a friend to break the ice you just created

If they turn their heads right and look around, they're making up an excuse not to go out with you.

If they look you in the face, you have chances of being a friend, but probably not.

usually tell by the girl's excuse for not going out with you.Beleive me! I've told some bogus excuses before! And, if you are very concerned, possiblyask a friend if they can get some inside info if the girl likes you or has a b/f. hope this helps!!

Karen answered Thursday May 12 2005, 5:03 pm:
If she starts to get nervous and turns away, then she is most likely lying to you and if she stares directly at you, then she is telling the truth. All girls are different when they lie or tell the truth.

Ashley1 answered Thursday May 12 2005, 4:27 pm:
It's really hard for you to tell, for sure. Most girls play with their hair or hands, and won't look at you in the eyes while their lying.

Being a girl myself, i can truthfully say there are not many ways to tell. see how they react. if they look around at first, as if looking for a freinds advice, they most likely feel bad for you. if they jump to a yes or if they seem in shock and very excited, they obviously really like you!! look for some body langauge before you ask, too. if they seem to stare at you without you saying anything or if they seem to try to get close to you by moving their group, or if they giggle when you walk by, they probably like you, so it wouldn't be out of sorrow.

zapreth answered Thursday May 12 2005, 11:36 am:
Just accept a turn down at face value. It is done with good intentions and is meant to preserve your ego. If you start second guessing everything a girl says to you, you'll never learn to trust one. I know it doesn't set well to think someone may not be telling you the truth, but which would you rather hear? "I'm sorry I already have plans for that night." or "No way. If you try to kiss me I'll puke." Plus some people not just girls lie better than others. Unless you plan to strap every chick you are interested in into a chair and grill her under the electrodes of a lie detector, you'll never know for sure. Don't be so paranoid. Live life!

Behind_Blue_Eyes answered Thursday May 12 2005, 1:26 am:
You can tell when they are lying, usually they look down, bite their lip or do something that you can catch onto quickly. If you want the truth just ask them to be straight forward with you and not to sugarcoat anything.
