My Child is turning four years of age and I am afraid that she may be depressed but I am not sure what the sinse are can you give me some advise please
abrahamdanielle answered Sunday May 15 2005, 3:53 pm: Usually the child becomes totally withdrawn, wets the bed, goes off food, there are so many signs to look out for but any change in her behaviour should be a cause for concern, you could ask your health visitor or doctor to have a look at her. shake answered Thursday May 5 2005, 5:39 pm: You dont have a child. You're probably asking this question for yourself. Why? You're a terrible speller, and your grammar sucks.
If you have a problem yourself, step up to the plate and say "yo i got a prob help me"
karenR answered Thursday May 5 2005, 2:35 pm: Take her to a pediatrician. The signs for depression in a 4 year old would not be the same as an adult necessarily. It could very well be something else wrong. [ karenR's advice column | Ask karenR A Question ]
mrs_radcliffe answered Thursday May 5 2005, 1:53 pm: If she wants to be alone, or she crys alot or isnt eating her food then something might be wrong. Not many 4 year olds will understand, So just try to be sensative and caring.
texangirl01 answered Thursday May 5 2005, 12:33 pm: she isnt eating right, suddenly really mad at everybody all the time, never smiles, wants to be alone, shows not excitement or towards anything...those are some basic ones....if you think she is really upset then tske her to a thearapist for children [ texangirl01's advice column | Ask texangirl01 A Question ]
jbdreamer answered Thursday May 5 2005, 12:24 pm: If you are worried about depression in a 4 year old, then you deffinetly should take her to a doctor. I find it hard to believe that a child so young could be depressed unless they lived in an terrible enviorment. There must be some other health issue here. Please, see a doctor. OrionsFire answered Thursday May 5 2005, 11:51 am: The chances of a four year old being depressed are pretty low unless they are living in a chaotic environment. They may just feel unstable if things are constantly changing around them, which would also lead to more bed wetting and unruly behavior. If you are really worried that it is depression and not some underlying cause, then take them to the doctor and talk about the problems you have been experiencing. Daisy answered Thursday May 5 2005, 9:08 am: I think a few of the signs are that she doesn't seem interested in anything - ie: the toys you give her to play with, food, seeing other children her age and just being really quiet and emotionless. Does she have a reason to be depressed? I think that by not sleeping well can be a sign too. The best thing to do would be to call up a doctor or have a look on the internet. You could try taking her to a child psychologist as well as they could help too. Good luck and I hopeI have helped! [ Daisy's advice column | Ask Daisy A Question ]
