I have these dark purplish circles under my eyes. And my eyelids are almost always red...Majority of the time I get 8 hours of sleep and I am 13 years old. Is there anything I can do to get rid of these hideous circles?
xoJoElenox answered Thursday May 5 2005, 7:23 pm: even though it seems your getting alot of sleep, you may not be!! and if you ABSOLUTELY ARE then it's just your eyes, but there are certain kinds of cremes that can hide them, but they may be expensive, to take the easy way out, you can by a pimple stick, and put it under your eyes and it hides them :) believe me from experience!

OrionsFire answered Thursday May 5 2005, 5:58 pm: The best way to reduce swelling and circles under the eye is actually to use hemmorhoid cream (yeah I know it sounds gross) and put it onto your face. It's naturally made to reduce swelling and it's a beauty trick that many stylists and professionals use. [ OrionsFire's advice column | Ask OrionsFire A Question ]
Mackenzie answered Thursday May 5 2005, 7:30 am: Well, getting an appRopRiate amount of sleep is an impoRtant thing, and be shoRe to dRink plenty of wateR. Also, tRy applying cool cucumbeR slices oR cool tea bags to the undeR-eye aRea, which helps to Reduce swelling. I've also heaRd that placing a fRozen spoon undeR youR eye will minimize the daRk ciRcles. PeRsonally, I've neveR done this, but I have seen it on movies, so you might as well give it a shot. To avoid dRawing attention to youR undeR-eye aRea, peRhaps you should avoid the use of eyelineR oR mascaRa to youR loweR lashes. Goodluck to you! I hope I helped!! Martini_Kiss answered Wednesday May 4 2005, 10:29 pm: I'd try cucumber slices. And there are many over the counter eye creams.
If you opt for make-up..
To avoid having a "caked" appearance with makeup, use a concealer first.. putting a little on your finger.. blot it gently under the eye, till the redness is mostly covered then cover with a foundation. Make sure you don't look "fake" and the color you choose goes with your skin though ;) [ Martini_Kiss's advice column | Ask Martini_Kiss A Question ]
LiKewhoA answered Wednesday May 4 2005, 9:56 pm: You can put concealor on, and if you can wear make up get a liquid foundation and like put a lil bit on a sponge and wipe it over your eyelids and up towards your eyebrows so it evens out and around your eyes and blend it. That helps cover the colors. Also maybe try putting a warm wash cloth over your eyes in the morning for at least 10 minutes and do that for a couple of days and see if that helps any. Hope i helped xox. [ LiKewhoA's advice column | Ask LiKewhoA A Question ]

Here are some things that can help:
1) Apply Cucumber juice to your dark circles
2) You can also put on cucumber and tomato slices.
3) There are also creams you can put on your eyes to make them stop swelling and have less dark circles.
4) Apply cold used tea bag to eyes
5) If your allergic to something that could also be the reason.
6) Just applying Vitamin E to your undereyes can also help.
7)EAting cod liver oil helps but it tastes um.. weird. haha
8) ARe you drinking enough water? YOu should at LEAST drink 10 glasses of water a day. THats the problem for most people.
9) Being in the sun alot without sunscreen can also be the problem
10) Use concealer to cover them up
Michele answered Wednesday May 4 2005, 9:32 pm: creams with vitamin K are supposed to reduce the appearance of dark circles. If your parents have the same coloring, it may be that it is heredity. But try some of the cream, but don't expect it to work overnight. Also, how much water to you drink, you may need to drink more water each day.
