Miaka001 answered Thursday May 5 2005, 8:56 pm: I have that problem too, what helps me is thinking of something that happened that day, or what I want to happen, something nice. Kinda like a dream when your about to fall asleep, something you want to dream about. So just close your eyes and think about something nice.
sugarmeltsinrain answered Wednesday May 4 2005, 6:27 pm: listen to a cd that just has "ocean sounds" on it. lol..it sounds lame, but it works. Find a CD somewhere that just has like, wave noises on it. As far as waking up, put a REALLY loud alarm clock on the other side of your room so you HAVE to get up and get it. Works for me! mrs_radcliffe answered Wednesday May 4 2005, 12:14 pm: Hi ive had the same problem where i cant fall asleep. Mabe trying reading for an hour or half an hour before as it can make you tired. Dont watch tv right before you go to bed that can stop you sleeping. Dont eat or drink anything sugar after 6 because that can effect your sleep. Mabe take a relaxing bubble bath before going to bed, it will help you relax. When i couldnt sleep all i was thinking over and over was that i wasnt going to get to sleep. But if you dont think that your not going to you usually fall asleep within an hour.
Daisy answered Wednesday May 4 2005, 6:29 am: The best tips I have to fall asleep more easily are these:
Have a really long hot bath or shower before going to bed
Burn a lavender candle or lavender oil in your room before you get into bed
Get a good book or do a crossword from a magazine
Good luck! [ Daisy's advice column | Ask Daisy A Question ]
OrionsFire answered Tuesday May 3 2005, 10:39 pm: Not being able to fall asleep at night can directly effect how you are getting up in the morning. Anyway, don't play on the computer, watch tv or anything with a bright screen within 30 minutes of going to bed. The light coming off the screen actually signals to your brain that it is time to be awake. It's much wiser to read a book or take a nice warm bath as a downtime before bed. S_C answered Tuesday May 3 2005, 10:11 pm: Well what I do is get all comfy, turn on the tv and set the sleep timer to about an hour. Usually not even 30 minutes into whatever I'm watching I fall asleep.
Or I just start to study for history, that makes me super tired haha.
But mainly it's music and t.v that put me to sleep. Usually as long as there's noise, but not too loud of noise I fall asleep to it.
Or just try and clear your mind of anything stressful or anything just about anything that's on your mind. It should make you sleep better. Good luck, hope my advice works :) [ S_C's advice column | Ask S_C A Question ]
Becki_xo answered Tuesday May 3 2005, 10:07 pm: you must have a lot on your mind at night.
i know last year i was in charge of this thing called palace where i had to hire people, create the place, help visitors... and i had a huge to do list that never stopped growing... well last year i had the hardest time falling asleep.
this year i deleted my palace... and well i fall right to sleep :)
so the reason i shared my story with you is because from experience i think that i had a lot on my mind and that could possibly relate to a reason why you might be having a hard time sleeping.
