Every night when I go sleep, I notice tears welling up at the edge of my eyelids for no reason. Its just totally random, I'm not even thinking of anything... Is it possible ,y eyes are just irritated after I've taken my contacts out from wearing them all day? Or is it just another body regulation thing like tapping your leg repeatedly?
soccurboi48 answered Wednesday May 4 2005, 9:18 am: There is a possibilite that it could be your contacts. But there is another chance that it might be your allergies. So i would go to your optomitrist and ask him if there is anything wrong. If he says no, try going to your doctor and see what he says!

OrionsFire answered Tuesday May 3 2005, 3:11 pm: Sounds like your eyes are dry (prologed periods of being opened, contacts, allergies) and are trying to replenish themselves. It isn't anything to worry about, but I suggest using Visine or something to moisturize your eyes. [ OrionsFire's advice column | Ask OrionsFire A Question ]

twynelyne answered Tuesday May 3 2005, 1:07 am: it could be contacts yes, but im thinking that would most likely be allergies. also if u've been under a light all day (like the lights at schools) it can irritate ur eyes. [ twynelyne's advice column | Ask twynelyne A Question ]
Michele answered Monday May 2 2005, 10:48 pm: It could be allergies. If you have a feather pillow, it may be the pillow.
JupiterNike answered Monday May 2 2005, 9:28 pm: The same thing happens to me all the time. It's odd, like I'll be reading in bed with my head sideways laying down, and I'll notice a tear falling down. it's nothing serious, and you're not crying either. It's just a reflex. FrEe2bMe answered Monday May 2 2005, 9:26 pm: Hey there. Well, what's happening to you isn't like totally weird or anything. Here's what it could be: I know you said you weren't thinking about anything, but you could unknowingly be thinking about something that makes you want to cry. Also, it is very possible like oyu said for your eyes to be watering from the wear of your contacts. Another thing is that sometimes people's eyes water because of allergies. There could be like a lot of dust in your room or in your sheets or something. Wash them and see if that makes a difference. And one last thing, you could have overproductive tear ducts. If that is the case, you'd need to see a doctor and they can help you out with that. If you need anymore help, let me know. :) [ FrEe2bMe's advice column | Ask FrEe2bMe A Question ]
