I can tell I'm starting to get a cold, and I'm going away in a week for a couple days. I don't want to be sick while I'm away (I'm going to a conference thing) and I was wondering if there's any way I could fight this cold off before Thursday.
not_your_star34 answered Friday April 29 2005, 4:15 pm: Take some cold medicine ASAP! It's always better to get rid of a cold in the beginning of it. It will go away faster that way. Also, drink a lot of fluids. Eat and drink stuff with Vitamin C in it, like orange juice. And of course, get plenty of rest. And don't forget to stock up on tissues. I hope I helped, and if you have any more questions, leave one in my inbox!

Daisy answered Friday April 29 2005, 5:06 am: Try drinking loads of water, get early nights out and try not getting too stressed as that will bring you down - mineral and vitamin supplements can also help but once some colds are in your system there's not always a lot you can do about it. You can get some Tylenol cold medicine at the store (generic brand works just as good). It will dry you up and keep you from coughing and snotting so much though. Get the non-drowsiness type so you aren't sleepy all day. [ karenR's advice column | Ask karenR A Question ]
Igotamonopoly answered Thursday April 28 2005, 9:05 pm: Hot water with lemon juice might help...boil water, then pour it out of the pot/ teapot and put it in a bowl and then drape your head over it and drape a towel over you and the bowl!! Feel better!! [ Igotamonopoly's advice column | Ask Igotamonopoly A Question ]
