Question Posted Tuesday April 19 2005, 6:41 pm

I have to ask this question, out of pure and utter curiousity. Is Targets running somewhat of a scam? The Ipod Minis are on sale, well, they give you a $15 gift card with the purchase of the mini thats 4G, but every store is "SOLD OUT", and I find this HARDDDD to believe, due to the fact the sale just started, and every store is like "WE got a HUUUGE shipment yesterday, but they sold out".

Oh, this has happened to me various times with Target, even when I went when they were like open for less than an hour on Sundays..

No. Not a scam.

Well advertised, good deals...Tend to sell very quickly. For example: the day after Thanksgiving, Best Buy sold all of their notebook computers about twenty minutes after the doors opened. The price was so insanely low...

Try watching the papers and going to the store as soon as it opens on the day of the sale, if you REALLY want that Ipod...

No, if its a scam the would be taking peoples money. Its no use to scam someone to coming to your store.

It doesnt make sense. If you cant actualy buy the ipod, its not a scam.

Any hot item that appears in an advertisement as being massively on-sale or having some special (such as gift cards) will sell out very, very quickly. This is not at all surprising that they are out of iPods when you get to the store. I've seen various items sell out in a matter of minutes at some stores.

Stores like Target andWalMart do that all the time. Of course they have a more expensive model to sell you

Shay answered Tuesday April 19 2005, 6:47 pm:
OKAY.....that IS really weird. I don't think they would be running a scam, because it is run by bunches of people and i don't think they would all agree on doing that. But that is pretty weird. Sometimes that happens to me and it bugs me really bad. If I were you I would go to target and see if it is a scam or not. Hope I helped! u can ask me stuff anytime... Please rate!
