That sounds like a pretty cute gift right there. But since you were going out for a year and two mouths, something more "thoughful" would be great. Maybe you could take her out for dinner and explain to her just how much she means to you. You could always write her a love letter, or 100 reason why you smile when you see her/love her/care about her, etc. Another thing that would also be cute is to, write down the first things. The first time you guys kissed, the first movie you watched together, the first time you hugged, the first time you told eachother how you felt about one another, etc. Then, end the night with some cuddling at her/your house and enjoy a movie. Just make it special, I'm sure everything will end up being perfect.

Make something for her, like a scrapbook. It would mean more to her than anything you could buy her. If you want to buy her a present though some suggestions - gift certificates to her favorite store, dvds, cds .. hope i helped!

something simple but special. something that maybe only the two of you would understand. something that when you look at it you immmediatly thought of her. anything that came from the heart

Gifts don't have to be expensive or romantic... jewelry isn't the only option for a guy to buy his girlfriend.

Get her something that she'll like and that she'll use.

What's she into? Hobbies, favorites, what does she like?

A few cute ideas I've seen:
- dvd of the first movie you saw together
- scrapbook of pictures of you two, or frame with a favorite picture
- mix cd of romantic songs
- teddy bear or fleece blanket for cuddling

Pay attention to her the next couple weeks... does she ever mention something she'd like, something she thinks is cool, etc. Maybe she only mentions it once, but the fact that you remember and get it- she'll find it unexpected and your thoughtfullness sweet.
