i got my period for the first time about 1 year, and 8 months ago. I haven't had it very many times since. i get it like every 2 or 3 months? i heard that body weight has something to do with it and some sites tell me that im "emaciated" and stuff like that, but i eat, have a fast matabolism, and im active. do you think this is why my period is irregular? ps im like 5'6 and 105, i think. thankss

It's just the way you are! You're fine. The first few years, are a lil hastle because your body is adjusting to the change as your body comes from being a baby...to a young child..to a pre-teen...to a teenage...to a young adult..to a mature adult...then when you hit 50 or 60 it all ends. It's fine. Don't worry so much about it. If you feel uncomfrontable then ask an older female friend or relative, or go see a doctor.

It can be irregular for up to 2 and a half years, until your body gets used to it- and even THEN it's still irregular! It is nothing to worry about, it's natural! If you need anything else, just message me! ♥ [ xOtWiXi's advice column | Ask xOtWiXi A Question ]

Some people dont have their period every month like some women do, it can be every other month, or even longer! Wait about 3 years for your body to right itself. It'll work itself out ^^
Karen answered Saturday April 9 2005, 12:06 pm: Since you got your first period about a year and 8 months ago, your period is going to be irregular for the next 2-3 years. Being active does have an affect on your period and usually causes it to be irregular so that's probably why your period is irregular. Your cycle will change eventually, you just need to wait. SAMzasis answered Saturday April 9 2005, 3:27 am: Like I tell many, don't worry. You're fine. The first few years, are just... you're body is trying to get used to it. It's fine. Don't worry so much about it. I mean, that happened to me. It's okay. Stuff like this happens all the time. If you want me to prove it, check this web site DAILY and see how many girls ask this question. Believe me, it's so often, that I just only answer with the ones who use proper grammar. Well, I'm going. Hope I helped!
