Good advice?
I need some good advice. I am homeschooled and I would like to get into something like football. This years been rough and im considering going back to public school for 10th grade. If I go to public school though my parents are afraid that my attitude might change to match the people around me (which is very true and might happen and it'll be worse). Should I go back to public school and stay caught up, play sports, and be around other people. Or should I stay homeschooled and not be influenced by the people around me?

you should go back to a public school .you need to be able to particapate in sports and other things but u cant be doing things that will get you in trouble .

Well, you can be homeschooled and play on a sports team. Talk to the schools and see what they can do. I've seen kids do that before. So that way, both you and your parents are happy. You may have to talk to a counseler, but I'm not sure.

If you want to play football you will have to go to school I think. Around my area they do have a soccer team for homeschooled kids.
There is nothing wrong with being home schooled.
I want to say that up front. But, there is also nothing wrong going to school with your peers. You will have to join the world some day and be influenced by those around you. So long as you know right from wrong and are strong enough to make your OWN decisions I don't think you will have a problem with public school.:)

i would efiantly say go to public school, it gets you ready for real life. if you think about it being homeschooled has basically sheltered you from theoutside world. sometimes you need the more "unpleasent" experiences from public schools

i think you should go to a public school. because you get to meet like a whole bunch of people and you get to hang out w/ your friends at school and everything. i would personally hate it if i was homeschooled

Well personally, I'm not homeschooled, so I think you should try to go to public school if you've been homeschooled now for awhile... I think a part of life is being influenced by other people, in good ways and bad. You have to learn how to deal with situations from other people. How to not be influenced by the bad ones.. So yes, I think a classroom environment would be good.. especially at your age. And sports are a major plus! :) Good luck!

heya i think you should go to public school because
1. your attitude is not going to change unless you want to change it
2. your watching your wholle teen life pass you by there are alot of pros with getting friends however everyones not perfect so there will be cons aswell
3. and you can find u have a hidden talent in football ect
4. and it is fun!!

even though there are education benefits of being home schooled youre not getting a teenagerhood if you get my meaning?having a attitude is all part of growing up,and you need life experience as wel.have you always been home schooled? or whats the reason your parents decieded to homeschol you?let me know! hope i helped xxx

Haha. By not getting influenced by people, you mean not be around people right? I can tell not being around us Homo-sapiens has already gotten to you. Sure, stay homeschooled and not have a life, when you get older and try to communicate outside of the bubble molded around you, you'll have some trouble. ENJOY!
