I need some good advice. I am homeschooled and I would like to get into something like football. This years been rough and im considering going back to public school for 10th grade. If I go to public school though my parents are afraid that my attitude might change to match the people around me (which is very true and might happen and it'll be worse). Should I go back to public school and stay caught up, play sports, and be around other people. Or should I stay homeschooled and not be influenced by the people around me?

There is nothing wrong with being home schooled.
I want to say that up front. But, there is also nothing wrong going to school with your peers. You will have to join the world some day and be influenced by those around you. So long as you know right from wrong and are strong enough to make your OWN decisions I don't think you will have a problem with public school.:) [ karenR's advice column | Ask karenR A Question ]

LostCanadian23 answered Tuesday April 5 2005, 11:00 pm: i think you should go to a public school. because you get to meet like a whole bunch of people and you get to hang out w/ your friends at school and everything. i would personally hate it if i was homeschooled
xpianogirl89x answered Tuesday April 5 2005, 8:36 pm: Well personally, I'm not homeschooled, so I think you should try to go to public school if you've been homeschooled now for awhile... I think a part of life is being influenced by other people, in good ways and bad. You have to learn how to deal with situations from other people. How to not be influenced by the bad ones.. So yes, I think a classroom environment would be good.. especially at your age. And sports are a major plus! :) Good luck!

shake answered Tuesday April 5 2005, 5:23 pm: Haha. By not getting influenced by people, you mean not be around people right? I can tell not being around us Homo-sapiens has already gotten to you. Sure, stay homeschooled and not have a life, when you get older and try to communicate outside of the bubble molded around you, you'll have some trouble. ENJOY!
