hi i'm 13 and a Christian but i have a bad habit of lying...i know that its really bad like i dont lie big time just like little white lies but they r still bad so do any of u know any bible verses on lying, not lying,how lying is bad and stuff like that? plz help!! ~i rate high~

lying is bad yes..but god will always forgive you...ask him for help when it comes to lying.im sorry i dont know any verses about lying but try a concordance in your bible

well what i normaly do is go to the back of the bible and look stuff like that up as it says in proverbs 26:28
A lying tounge hates those it hurts, and flatering mouth works ruin. wich means nobody likes a lyer and every body loves a truthful person. i sometimes have that problem but after you lye then just prey about it and then tell whoever the truth wich will make you feel better and god will still love you.

I'm 16 and am a Christian, too. I've been born again and believe in the power or prayer. My suggestions to you are to try and read your Bible EVERY DAY. It is very dificult to understand, but keep at it! It will become easier after a while, I promise. Maybe get a little devotion book and follow that every morning or might. Make a special time in the dsay (EVERY DAY) to pray and read your Bible. PRAY! PRAY! PRAY! Pray and ask God to help you with your bad habits. No matter how small or big your problem is, God is bigger! He loves to hear his children come to him for help! Stay strong in your faith and keep praying! I'll pray for you! -Stefiny

There is a passage in James that says that "The tounge is a fire, a world of iniquity..." It's hard to tell the truth sometimes, but you just have to pray to God and ask for wisdom and for help to tell the truth more often to people.

Sweetie, if you're the same person who posted the last question regarding bible verses for grudges/forgiveness... I suggest you find a good devotional or study bible to help you.
Or try Google searching for a website targeted to Christian teens. Either way, you won't have to deal with the jerks here who insult you instead of providing a constructive answer to questions like yours.
There are so many issues and struggles all of us Christians face every day, because the Devil is still active in our world.
The best thing we can do is pray, read the Bible, and surround ourselves with other Christians to encourage us.
Ask your youth pastor to reccommend a good devotional. Or go to a Christian bookstore... there's usually a whole section of teen devotionals and books, many of which could help you.

rev. 21:8 even small lies are a sin but its ok to slip up sometimes as long as u repent and truthfully are trying to change this is not the best verse but it is about liars sorry i couldnt give u more verses...i hope i helped

Okay before I used to swear a lot, and I found this verse that was like you worship God with your mouth, and then you swear with the same mouth. Which is wrong. So think of it this way...you worship God, you tell people your christian with the same mouth you use to lie! Get it?
