i was wondering does any1 know any fitness exersises to get abs?im a girl and want to have abs. also a butt workout!! I really need to lose weight and how can i get motivated to lose weight? i am 130 pounds at 5'2 female.
Thank you in advance
1st, it may sound strange but if u want to work on ure butt then do some skating or even ice skating if theres a rink near you. it not only works or ure butt but also on ure thighs, ive found it a great help. u'll also loose weight.
2nd, you should do crunches NOT SIT_UPS heres how to do crunches
Lie down
Put your hands behind your neck (don't pull too hard on the neck)
Pull your knees in just above the hips with your feet flat on the floor
Lift your shoulders no more than 30 degrees above the ground
Hold for 3 full seconds
Then slowly return the shoulders to a resting position.

I used to think it would be soooo boring, but it is fun and it really helps you exercise. a simple book on Yoga poses will help...or Yogajournal.com [ DrSaLi087's advice column | Ask DrSaLi087 A Question ]

flyaway answered Wednesday March 30 2005, 1:05 pm: I reckon you should go for sit-ups. Try and aim for a certain amount every day, then up the amount as you become more capable.
Also try lunges - feet about a metre apart, then bend one leg until the thigh is parallel to the ground. Straighten leg, and repeat on other side.
Do however many of these a day and you should tone up.
Yoga is very good for toning, its also very relaxing and makes you more flexible. You can get a book with a basic workout cheaply from most bookshops, or search on the internet for a basic guide.
Try not to focus on losing weight, according to the information you gave you aren't actually overweight. Focus on toning up and becoming healthier.
I hope I've helped,

Karen answered Wednesday March 30 2005, 7:14 am: If you want to tone your abs, you can do crunches and sit ups and to tone your butt, you can do squats and lunges. Running or jogging also helps. If you want to get yourself motivated to lose weight, tell yourself that if you don't try, then you aren't going to look good when summer comes or anything like that. That gets me motivated when I need to do crunches. You can also eat healthy and that will help you lose weight. Check out [Link](Mouse over link to see full location) for more exercises.

therocketsummer answered Wednesday March 30 2005, 7:07 am: You could get one of those big exercise balls, those really do help. you can do sit-ups on them, those sit-ups are much more complicated on the ball because you have to work harder to get yourself back upright.
