Yeah, it's all right, but I'd let it rest a day or so before you start styling and ironing it. Keep it conditioned and you can treat it normally.

Nope it doesnt. Your dye will not go away or anything. So straighten as usual and you'll be fine! =) Thats what I thought too when I dyed my hair but yeah everything went A-Okay. Haha.

No its not a good idea because it can make your hair dully and less colour, and limp straightening your hair isnt a good idea all the time but its ok not so often!

If its permanet dye, then your completely safe. But if its temporary, then the dye MIGHT come off on the plates. But other wise, your fine.

Karen answered Sunday March 27 2005, 1:07 pm:
Yes, it's safe to flat iron your hair after you dyed it. If you straighten your hair everyday for a long time, this will eventually cause your hair to become fried and damage but there are conditioners that you can use that will "fix" your hair. Straightening your hair won't fade away the dye or dye it out so don't worry about that. I dye my hair every 2 months and I use a flat iron to straighten my hair every day and my hair is now becoming dryed but I just use a good leave-in conditioner to make my hair better.

You are completly safe straightening your hair. Just dont put the flat iorn on too high heat, because it will make you hair dry an fried.

siozeegreat answered Sunday March 27 2005, 1:02 pm:
Well, dying your hair and straightening eventually damages your hair over time, so I'm sure that doing it together will definatly kill your hair.

But the straightener won't make the dye come out. Dye normally comes out when you wash it though.
