Here are some main causes for the problematic eye makeup:
1. You put foundation/concealer on your eyelid. Refrain from this, it causes your eyeshadow to crease and not last too long.
2. You don't wash your face before putting on makeup. Wash with a good soap.
3. You put moisterizer on before you apply makeup. Avoid putting around the eyes.
4. Cream based shadows tend to crease and look messy. Opt for powder shadows and use an eyeshadow brush to blend (those pad things don't work too well and don't have a lot of staying power).
5. If all else fails, after applying foundation/concealer, apply a generous amount of loose powder on the face, INCLUDING the eyelids. Brush off excess using a powder brush.
6. Eyeliner pencils never seem to work for me and don't last very long. A good trick is to line your eyes is with a good wet eyeliner brush with a dark powder eyeshadow. The wet shadow makes it stay put longer! [ mylinhthan's advice column | Ask mylinhthan A Question ]

orangebabi0669 answered Saturday March 26 2005, 9:55 am: its normal but maybe you should try different makeup and maybe that will help. if not also use astringent you can get this anywhere such as wal mart where you get the acne stuff. It cleans the skin pores and crevices and it removes oil dirt and makeup that soap and water cant get. hope I helped. [ orangebabi0669's advice column | Ask orangebabi0669 A Question ]
xcuriousx0 answered Saturday March 26 2005, 9:39 am: mine does the same thing. There really isnt much you can do about it. You could use skin care products to cut down on the oilyness of your skin but that doesnt have immediat results. I personally just sneak to the bathroom and reaply my make up whenever i have the chance. [ xcuriousx0's advice column | Ask xcuriousx0 A Question ]
Karen answered Saturday March 26 2005, 9:22 am: I really can't tell if your face is oily or not but it may be. To prevent your face from looking greasy and crappy, you need to wash your face that is specially made for oily skin. Clearasil and Neutrogena has some of these face washes. You can also put on some moisturizer that is oil-free. As for your eye make up, apply some powder over your face when you are done. This should help.

lil_later_posers_kid answered Saturday March 26 2005, 9:01 am: well u need to wash your face 2x a day and there is a BIG Possibility that you face is oily. i cant tell you if it is or not without seeing your face so just wash your face and if that doesent work you can ask your dermatologist!
rainbowcherrie answered Saturday March 26 2005, 7:18 am: I can't tell you if you skin is oily or not without seeing it but it doesn't matter if it is. There are many products such as face washes and make up removers that are specially designed for oily skin. It might be a good idea to try some. As for your make up, try using powder as it reduces shininess. [ rainbowcherrie's advice column | Ask rainbowcherrie A Question ]
