A sharp, burning painful rash or irritation on my labia? It isn't an STD so what is it? This isn't really a sexual question, but it involves my genitals, so I figured this would be the best place to ask.
My labia is very irritated, itchy, and sometimes downright painful. I know it's not an STD, because I haven't done anything that could give me an STD. It's a bit like a rash, but I wouldn't call it one, it's more like irritation. Sometimes, I'll put vaseline on it, but it doesn't help much and not for long. It's a sharp, burning pain. It especially hurts when I'm forced to touch it, like after I use the restroom, or if I have to insert a tampon. Again, it's just my labia (inner and outer, mostly inner), not anything else, really.
Anyone know what it is/how to relieve it?

You probably have a yeast infection just eat plain yogert for a few days and it will go away. I get this all the time. Please rate. ]
Unfortunately, you have some misinformation. You CAN get an STD even if you're a virgin, from anyone that you exchanged bodily fluids with...breastmilk from mom blood from someone...i highly suggest you go to the gyno and they can help you out there! ]
im not sure what that could be hun... and sorry i cant suggest anything for the pain..but you need to see a doctor that isnt normal and you should have such discomfort down there..much luv dez x0x0 ]
it could be the tampon ur using the soap ur using and stuff or it could be a yeast infection if its soap or some kind of feminine cleaner, try not usuing it or if its a yeast infection try some creams or pills to help it ]
Is it possible that you are using something diffrent that could be causing an allergic reaction? A new soap, anything like that? Even a new laundry soap or fabric softner. If so, stop using on underwear and see if that is causing it.
Your best bet is going to be seeing a doctor.I know it's an unpleasant thing to do but you don't want to mess with a rash there.He/she will
give you something that will work without making the problem worse, and you don't want to make it worse! ]
It sounds like a yeast infection. You should deffienetly go see your gynocologist though to be correctly diagnoised. If you treat yourself incorrcetly you can make the situation worse. ]
It could be a yeast infection. You should definatly go to see a doctor to get it checked on. If it is a yeast infection and it something isn't done against it it can effect your chances of having children later in life.

Try A&D ointment from the baby care section. You can use it in and out. My gyno told be about it and it has been a godsend. I think your problem may be caused by your tampons. Vaginosis, basic irritation, is often caused by chemical irritaion. Like tampons. Try the ointment and use pads for a while. I know it's not as convienent, but it should help clear up the problem quickly. ]
It could be a yeast infection or bacteriosis. Or sometimes when we soak in the tub with bubbles, it can give you problems. Some of these little irritations could affect your ability to have children. I would highly suggest seeing a doctor because they can help you quickly figure out what is going on. ]
